It does seem like a bizarre coincidence, yes.

Nubi is a character I personally like, at least in her design and concept, and it's been a shame that she hasn't been able to hold a notable place in the worlds I've tried to place her.

On a partly related note, I've sorta paired the otherworldly characters as "destined rivals;" some have a meaningful connection, and some are a little more tenuous. And Nubi's "destined rival"... I'm surprised you didn't make the guess in that list either.

Well, I was only really looking at TUL characters for that list. The fact that she's from TDL kinda threw me off. But sure, it makes sense now. Although there's only a handful of characters that could fit being her rival.

And on a somewhat related note. Since you been doing these TUL related sketches lately, I've been looking through the list of TUL characters lately. I seem to have noticed one that hasn't been drawn in ages... probably never once for you DeviantArt gallery.
