Thanks - I spent a lot of time on it mixing layers with the reflection with layers of the true bottom section of the fractal, I think it worked out just right

I agree with ~helekri on both pieces. They're both done with good taste and perspective. This piece has a mystical quality about it that I like. Just had to it. The colors all compliment one another nicely! Well done.

Your welcome! Oddly enough blue is an illusive color in many respects, not just printing, but thanks for the heads up. I didn't have intentions of printing it at this time, but who's to say what the future holds.

Welcome to be part of the "my hate for lake transformation" -week.
Well, with this piece actually, no. Even though I hate the "lake" and think it's overused, this piece somehow seems to justify it's existence.
With the colours you've chosen the image looks just like an iceberg. Really a painted scenery.

Thanks I only occassionally use the lake transform, I think the odd image I do works well with it - in particular this one. I think I've done less than 10 images using it out of at least a thousand !
In this case the lake reflections are mixed with the true lower section of the Julia Set producing an effect that I think works really well (I've used the same technique in two other lake images).

That's not too "just because". It really gives more to the pic. Like the shapes are rising from under water or something.
Again, it justifies its existence.
