Sorry guys. I don't think I have it in me to be a Slythie. But Gryffindor and Ravenclaw are okay, right?

Nah, Slytherin isn't evil after Voldie died. After the battle, Slytherin became what it was before it was bad.

It's annoying though because of the fact that I'm a Gryffinclaw... (Gryffie on Pottermore and a Ravie on Hogwarts Extreme [link] )

I'm a Gryffpuffclaw … Close to ALL Internet quizzes I take put me in Ravenclaw. But Pottermore put me in Gryffindor and Hufflepuff. I've never ended up in Slytherin ever. I don't really feel like a Ravenclaw though, I think I have the wrong priorities. But really I think I could be either one. Though considering how I feel about it myself and how I usually act, I'm probably a Gryffindor … But I come across as a Ravenclaw to other people. I'm flattered that people compare me to Luna but I saw more of myself in Hermione when I read the books.

My friend once got into Slytherin and she threw a hissy fit! I was pretty surprised but pleased when I got sorted into Gryffindor on Pottermore, I certainly act like a Ravenclaw a lot of the time but I suppose I've evolved into a more Gryffindor-ish person after I read the series. That's funny, people compare me to Hermione, and I always thought I was more like Luna.

HikariMichi In reply to WeasleyWoman [2013-06-22 23:25:42 +0000 UTC]

Cool, sort of the opposite of what people say to me xD I guess they think I'm like Luna because I'm quirky but not really in the same way as her.
Haha, I have nothing against Slytherin, I know that many Slytherins are great people just as there are a lot of asses in the other houses … But by the time I was 12 … I think Gryffindor. I was super stubborn, had a pretty bad temper and was really sure of what I believed in. I've been told I'm brave now but I don't know about back then xD (Apparently what house you end up in depends on your personality when you were 11 or 12). I had a hard time making friends, was very bookish and took school seriously … So I felt like Hermione. By now I've tried to be less unpleasant and don't get mad so much. So now people see me as a quiet geeky girl which might seem more like a Ravenclaw x3

WeasleyWoman In reply to HikariMichi [2013-06-23 20:13:48 +0000 UTC]

Well, I'm not that far off 11/12 I guess, and I think I was about 11 when I signed up to Pottermore... that would mean I'd be a Gryffie at Hogwarts, yay! Yeah, I was like that too. I mean, I had a small circle of friends, but none of them were as into reading as I was apart from 1, and she was the one who was sorted into Slytherin She paraded herself as a Gryffindor, and kept making new Pottermore accounts because she was sorted into Hufflepuff and then Slytherin I guess I do have a bad temper sometimes, but that's usually when people are being horrid to my friends. You should have seen how I ranted at this guy when I was saying one of my friends (who's a couple of years older than me) was pathetic because he liked fandoms. Trolls, really.

HikariMichi In reply to WeasleyWoman [2013-06-23 23:05:50 +0000 UTC]

Hm, OK I'm nearly 18. So I can't be sure I would belong to the same house now as I did when I was 12 … (12 because I'm born in December so I would start Hogwarts a year later, like Hermione). But I think so xD Pretty much. Snape and Pettigrew are examples of people who might have ended up in a different house if they tried on the hat by the end of the series, though …
And well, sticking up for your friends is typical of Gryffindors (And Hufflepuffs). Gryffindors and Slytherins are very much alike, but the differences that do exist are so important that they hate each other anyway xD (At least during Harry's time at Hogwarts). One important difference is that Slytherins usually won't risk their lives to save others, while Gryffindors will. So I guess Gryffindors can be a bit reckless, but for good reasons, and if they end up saving lives, they're the heroes. I've noticed I'm a bit reckless too, but not in a completely good way … I think doing risky stuff is really exciting sometimes, which is not that smart. I'm like "It'll be fine!!" Once I ended up dropping my cell phone on the bottom of the sea … Oops.

Well, very few of my friends got sorted into the house they thought they belonged to. Some took it well (like me, 'cause I was never entirely convinced that I was a Ravenclaw anyway) and some felt like, well, as if their whole life had been a lie xD But you shouldn't take the quiz too siriusly, I think it only gives you a clue as to which house you have what it takes to be sorted into.
Apparently I could be a Gryffindor or a Hufflepuff. Which makes me happy :'D It's not like trying on the real hat. In real life, the hat would hear your thoughts and your own opinion might help decide where you end up. But not always … Neville asked to be placed in Hufflepuff you know, but the hat was like "NO, you're a Gryffindor!!"

Huh, I literally just realised how Gryffindor-ish that is of me to go all military on people if they mess with my friends. Lol, and I thought I knew what it takes to be a Gryffindor! If I had to choose, though, I probably would be a Gryffindor, because of, y'know, Dumbledore and all those other famous wizards and witches who were Gryffies... hm, I'm not sure I could put up with the Fat Lady and her operatic singing all the time.

HikariMichi In reply to WeasleyWoman [2013-06-24 21:42:24 +0000 UTC]

I know, I felt the same way xD But I think you find the nicest people in Hufflepuff, so I wouldn't mind being there either. Gryffindor seems to have the second nicest Common room though But well, I was attracted to Gryffindor because nearly all of my favourite characters were from there, and I value the qualities required for being a Gryffindor. J. K. Rowling says she is a Gryffindor, it is interesting though how she claims Hufflepuff is her favourite house ^^

Yeah, I quite like the fact that it's in a high tower for some reason. I love heights Hm, that's interesting, so J.K. says the Puffs are her favourite? Hm, I can't really think of any Hufflepuff that played a huge role in HP, but hey, they're nice people.

My sister got sorted into Hufflepuff on Pottermore, and my mum ended up in Ravenclaw … Kind of weird seeing as we come from the same family xD

WeasleyWoman In reply to HikariMichi [2013-06-25 22:45:43 +0000 UTC]

Hehe, I'm a fan of common phobias, but I'm scared of starfish. I'm a weird human. Yeah, Tonks was cool. Ah, well, the Patil twins were in different houses, even though they were both Gryffies in the film.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

HikariMichi In reply to WeasleyWoman [2013-06-26 01:00:32 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, that thing about the twins bothered me …

Well, I'm scared of worms and larvae … I freak out whenever I find one on me. And I'm also scared of tripping and ending up on the rail of the subway (I've had nightmares about that ever since I was little). But my most prominent (and weird) phobia is my eye phobia. I can't stand watching someone poke their eye or anything like that. I'm even scared of touching my own eyes. I don't wear makeup except for on special occasions, and even then I'm super careful when I put it on because it involves touching the area near my eyes … Well, it's not the eyes themselves that scare me, it's just touching them or watching someone else do so xD

WeasleyWoman In reply to HikariMichi [2013-06-27 06:52:41 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, it caused quite a bit of confusion for me...

Oh, don't worry, your phobias are pretty rational. My friend's scared of bananas.

WeasleyWoman In reply to HikariMichi [2013-06-28 21:12:03 +0000 UTC]

It depends how ripe the banana in question is... if it's green then I will REFUSE to eat it.

... I just realised how weird it is that we've somehow changed the subject from Harry Potter to eating bananas.

HikariMichi In reply to WeasleyWoman [2013-06-28 22:16:05 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, haha! XD Well I'm sure the Harry Potter characters eat bananas too so it's not COMPLETELY irrelevant … I guess

Brown bananas are great for making banana cake!

What made you even think of Narcissa and Zhao as a pairing? It just seems so random. But the bigger question is: does Zhao get to still be a firebender? Because that would kick ass butt.

WAIT, HOLD THE HOGWARTS EXPRESS! I just realized something! Zhao and Lucius, ARE THE SAME PERSON! Wow, I am crazy smart.
