My weak attempt on a Halloween related B'z comic.
It's quite weird to have Shane in this comic and not have him say anything at all. XD;
Anyway, based on an article in Be With issue 60 "Tak & Koshi's DVD Selection 2003"
Here's the translated piece of the article by Keen~!
*^v^*Q For sure, you watched "JU-ON" (= The Grudge)?
Tak (laugh) He ran away! *points at Koshi*
Koshi Ran away... (laugh)
Tak We were all watching it, and suuuu, he was gone (laugh). Were you frightened?
Koshi To say that I was frightened... (laugh)
Tak We all have watched other DVDs together, but only during "JU-ON" that Inaba stayed the shortest time (laugh). I think it was in LA, the manager brought some movies to watch, so after the recording was finished, all the guys gathered to watch that night. Afterwards, I went back to my room but my eyes wouldn't close. I couldn't fall asleep at all (laugh).

i seen teh second movie and it was not scary but the friend i went with was alsows grabing on to me so i got bored and scared him! hahahaha he screamed too

Reminds me of one day when my sisters watch horror movie and I'm not dare to see but suddennly rain storm fall and then the lights go out >_<
I really frightened to death at that time and can't sleep till morning XD;;

Poor guy! He's just like me. I'm not used to gorey movies, or horror film, so I get really jumpy while watching them. Everyone looked so calm watching that movie, except for poor Inaba. Hopefully no-one will pop into his room and accidentally scare him! He's so nervous, he'd probably stick to the ceiling in fright. XD

Actually the ramblings in the bed are of actual fears I have myself about strangers stalking through the window. They can see you, you know they're there, but you can see them. @_@

I don't know the movie, but I'm very used to such a situation. I had those reactions a lot when I was younger (now I don't watch horror movies anymore...
Wouldn't have expected Koshi getting scared so easily.

oh god, roflmao, i'm just the same. i;'m such a wuss with scary films. you do such good expressions and the colouring works with them so well. the last panel is just adorably hilarious!

i love the comic....and really scary movies do do that to you. inaba looks so terrified...shoulda given him a teddy, wait that probably would have scared him more, poor guy. you have a great sense of humour ^¬^

Anyway, I love this one. Did you do a slight difference style of colouring for this? I don't know why, but everything just for some reason looks a lot more, I dunno, "spiffy" than usual? Like the comparison between say, the artwork in old Bugs Bunny cartoons to the quality of artwork in "Space Jam" (I hope you've seen that XD; ).
Not that there's anything wrong with the normal art, I'm not sure why. Maybe it's all the unique lighting effects you put in which makes it look different. XD; Either way, I love this. And Tak hasn't got his sunglasses on in the last panel! It's the apocalypse! (He even wore those when he was ill in that older comic. XD)
All the shading and effects look remarkably good in this one though, especially the light from the window rippling over his blanket in the final panel.
Totally awesome, this has become an instant favourite for me.

With the artwork, I was trying for more dramatic lighting feel, but I guess I was trying to break free from the cliche bgs I've been doing for the last number of comics. Plus, I've been using comic styled fonts for the sound effects and stuff, so that would be it too. =3
Oh yeah, I seen Space Jam twice and years ago. XDDD
I was debating with myself on whether I should do that glass in bed thing again. But it would be weird and everyone will assume that he does wear them in his sleep. XDD It was pretty weird drawing him without them. It's his trademark look. ^^

The expression on Inaba-san's face when they've just started watching is SO kawaii

I think the short article really captures their personalities and it was something great to based the comic on. Inaba being innocent and Tak enduring it all like the brave boss he is! XD
I'd love for Shane to say something, but that means some extra consideration and that would probably distract us a little from the main story. Ah~ decisions.

Yeah, at the beginning, I thought a family with her two daughter should be the main characters, but then the first daughter was killed.
And the second one was killed by her boyfriend, cause that ghost took him over. But there were a few other short stories before that family appeared, but this story was one of the longest O.o I can remember, that the first part has about 3 different stories.
Some scenes were disgusting, like this first daughter was attacked by cats and they ate her jaw. But first I realized it, when she went back to her mother and crept over the ground like this girl from "Ringu" o_+" wothout her jaw!! ieeeh!
