I definitely love her expression here, though I must admit I'm not a fan of how transparent her face markings look, more opaque would had been better.

Yes, I know the original design has her mars way more opaque and I was going to portray her that way at first, but it was not working for me, for some reason. Like, I felt suddenly there was too much in little space and it was lessening the power of her expression somehow. Β Don't know if I'm making senseΒ Β Anyway, thanks for commenting!

I do get what you mean, its cool. I always thought her markings were fantastic because I thought it made it easier for her to show her expressions more easily, though maybe it's also because of my way to draw Ahsoka is a more simpler in look and feel.

I do think her design in general is great, as it usually happens with everything star wars. You are right, the markings work well for showing her expression, specially the eyebrow part, but maybe in a more "realistic" style they can be troublesome. Like, if Ahsoka was real...if they ever were to make a live action film featuring her, how would they solve this problem? Showing her markings and making them look realistic and not a silly make up?

Thank you! Yes, I thought the marks on her face worked better this way on this particular drawing. I struggled quite a bit with her eyebrows, though. I didn't want her to look like she had no eyebrows, cos they are really important for the expression.Β

She has gotten older, wiser, but more melancholy.Β Had she become a Jedi Master before Anakin turned to the dark side?Β The animated series never mentioned this.Β

I think she was about to be knighted just before he fell to the dark side, but she refused and left the jedi order. I think her character has great potential for melancholy ^^
