Man, it may be strange but I still find it awing that fifty years ago, the U.S. got a man on the moon. People thought JFK was crazy when he said that they will do it before the 60's were out, but it was achieved.  I imagine one's perspective really changes once they're viewing the planet they were born on from afar.

I'm doing a Moon Landing art jam and we'd love to have you. Join the Moon Landing Art Jam!Happy 4th of July everyone. I have a special announcement to make. This year is the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission, the legendary mission to the Moon in which Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin took their iconic first steps as the first men on the Moon. To celebrate this achievement for mankind, I am announcing for one month, the Moon Landing Art Jam!
Here are the rules:
1. Art must be made on or after July 5th
2. Art can be whatever you want so long as it involves the Moon in some way
3. Each artwork needs at least one character and they be in a spacesuit. The spacesuit can be any design you so desire, just so long as they're in a spacesuit
4. There is no submission limit. Submit as many times as you want.
5. Post your submission in the comments and link to this journal in your submission's description.
6. It's for fun, so enjoy yourself!
7. Deadline is August 9th. You have until then to send your submissions.

Happy day of the first google moon landing I just remembered it a few hours ago apparently today was also the birth of someone important in my country and why google did not show the iconic banner that usually put for each important event.
