Description i'm not referring to the haunting of ghosts or other paranormal activity.
i'm referring to the way the past haunts the present,
the way it can possess you and suck the life from those around you.
the way it can make you into a person more guarded and terrified than you were the day before.
it writes your chapters for you, and it tells the tales in the worst way.
i guess i'm not so mad about the way the story ended,
but moreso at how the plot seemed to thicken against me at every turn of the page.

--

ugh ugh ugh. ok. i'm sorry guys. this is just a small piece... and it's eerie and creepy and YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS - something's on my mind!!
as per usual, bad feelings transfer well into creepy drawings, but i had to keep this one delicate. personal reasons, i guess. too much gore would feel dishonest for what i was trying to convey.
and i apologize for the lack of completeness/quality, but i just had to get this image out quickly. spending too much time on it was bringing up feels. yuck.

just another way to release some of the stuff clouding up my mind. honestly i wasn't feeling too bad when i sat down to draw this, but a while back i had an image for this drawing - the perfect way to release these thoughts & memories. and i just had to get it out.

i could go on for ages about this, but i'm past that and life is incredible and things have been taking backwards nosedives all over the place. LIFE IS GOOD!

it's interesting, because i made that forgiveness image a while back, but i really feel like i was accepting everything that happened this past year, forgiving the universe and giving thanks for the state i was in post-everything. i don't think i have forgiven the accusers just yet... but i'm trying.

--

alright, i'm sorry, hahah i'm being way too open of a book right now! but... i mean, that's what art is about... and even if this isn't the purest representation of my feelings or skills it helped me move on, and that's what i want to share with you all today.

materials: mechanical pencil, photoshop

I know this image is a few months old, but I still wanted to comment on it so I hope you don't mind. ;u;

The empty eyes really do give a haunting feeling, like she had the life sucked out of her and now appears more like a ghost rather than a living being. The use of pale blue and gray made the yellow aura and red blood petals (yes that's what I'm calling them) pop out nicely.
I feel like the simplicity and seemingly unfinished state suits the image for reasons I can't quite explain. The small details, like the messiness of the lines and the small tilt of her head, add character.

I can understand that working on drawings relating to personal feelings can make you feel sick after a while, but at least you managed to get this one out~ c: Great job!
P.S. The writing at the top of the description was nice too, by the way- very poetic and fitting.

i absolutely don't mind because you are lovely enough to offer a legitimate comment full of honest feelings & thoughts and i love that!!! (i would love that for a drawing 10 years old compared to "looks good!" on a recent drawing tbh hahaha) plus, the picture is still somewhat relevant! less so... but still, somewhat.

oh my god oh my goodness gracious if you even knew the situation you would be flipping out at how accurate your comments are like holy SHEEEEIT.

> life sucked out of her - ACCURATE

> yellow aura and red blood/petals HINT THEY'RE BOTH, GOOD JOB (also those are important gold stars for you)

> the simplicity & messy lines are VERY SUITED to the subject/situation and i am super glad that you are picking up on that. like i said in the description, too much gore wouldn't have fit the feelings well. there are different kinds of creepy, you know!!

thank you so much!!

THANKS. sometimes, poetry is an add-on to artwork. other times it's part of the artwork. this is one of those times.

The title is very apt, I can't think of anything beyond the many levels of hauntingness that this is inspiring, other than my appreciation of the talent that created this work of art.
