Description
Update of charcoal drawing of Howlin Wolf charcoal sketch for painting .My second outing with charcoal and I'm getting a little more used to it.
It's messy but it has its merits.
Tomorrow I start actually painting it

You are of course welcome to feature the sketch, but it was just a preliminary charcoal drawing for an oil painting.

I have to say: they both seem to have their own strengths. I wonder if it might be interesting to feature them both for comparison. I have similar feelings about some of Albrecht Dürer's work - where the sketches offer a stand-alone appeal, despite depicting the same subject matter as the paintings.
