Description Let's just say I'm super happy of this. Instead of Gimp, I used Photoshop with this, which I think I will use from now on. The main reason is because of vectors. A vector is, I think, an image created with shapes instead of pixels, thus very crystal clean. It also helps when you can watch ~LidiyaAvgusta 's videos ten times a day. It was fun coloring!

This is ~sistercutie123203 's Rosetta. This was originally for a contest, but I could not finish it, so I'm making it as a gift.

Thank you to ~Aya-Bear and ~rainbowgirl for helping!

Made with Photoshop, Wacom Graphire 3 tablet, and mouse.

What version of Photoshop are you using for this? The version I use doesn't have a curved line tool...

MaeWings In reply to TheSydFactor [2012-08-15 23:36:51 +0000 UTC]

Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended. I use the pen tool, though. I looked it up and all vector-making tutorials used the pen tool. Or is curved line tool another name for pen tool... I'm not the best at PS.

TheSydFactor In reply to MaeWings [2012-08-15 23:42:04 +0000 UTC]

The line tool is just a tool simply used to make perfectly straight lines, though some programs have the option to make lines and then curve them- I have Elements 8 and it only gives the option to make a straight line. When I fix my computer I'll look up some good tutorials and play around with it some.

For the pen tool, you place dots and then you curve them with, well, I call it nodes. Then you can stroke it and so forth. It's really helpful. And, if you need any help, I could help. ^^

I've read about a thing called Shearing, but it seems like it'd be a little on the annoying side to do- I'm eager to try it. Most people I've seen that use Photoshop use CS_ and not so many Elements...

Hm, never heard of it. And I don't think I've seen it on my PS toolbox.
