He does seem very submissive to my character. For example - "Does this please you?" Its like he views my character as a dominatrix, or maybe he's just being sarcastic

I was almost glad the option to romance him wasn't there, because my poor Lady Aeducan would have been sorely tempted to stray (and poor Alistair doesn't deserve that). Then again, I'd probably be playing Awakening again already with a non-imported character just so I could get him.

If he were an option, I would romance him in a second. Perhaps in DA2. He interests me, and romancing him with a Cousland would make for some really intense dialogues. Conflicting emotions galore = great fun!
