I was trying to make these socks for my husband but they fit me perfectly. Oops.Otherwise, I am so happy with how they turned out! And I found out if you start a new ball of sock yarn each time (Bernet brand, anyway) the stripes come out perfectly matched! How cool is that? Anyway, these were made with a knitting loom and Bernet sock yarn. They still take a while for me to make, and I need to figure out how to better guess the length of the sock before tying it off, but expect to see some more socks from me someday

I have the Loops and Threads Knit Quick loom set that Michaels sells. Would this loom set work?

I looked at the one you bought and my concern would be that the pegs might not be small enough to use with sock yarn (and get the fine/small stitches that I got in my socks here...) This shouldn't stop you from making some bulkier socks though. I haven't made any like that yet but I want to, and I will be using one of my bigger looms when I do!
