my favorite food by far, stock is from a photo i took of some salmon sushi. the first of the sushi series.

Yum, this looks good enough to eat. Great detail on the sammon, I would love to see more detail in the rice though. Great job anyway. Now I need to find some sushi, oh wate I live in a small town sushi doesnt exhist here

Delicious, but I live in Indiana where the sushi is lacking in quality and ...safety. Also nice colors and good implication of rice with the greys.

theres this place not far from my house that has great sushi, i can get a platter of like 8 eel peices and a thing of salmon for like 15$...if i were rich i would buy a sushi chef for my house lol

I don't know if I'd eat sushi all the time, but yeah, it's pricey. I think Masako only made it three times, last year, and usually it was for a special occasion. Once, she couldn't even find the ingredients . . .

Looking at this makes me hungry! I like the subtle gradient on the salmon, but not sure what to think of the graident shadows on the rice. If you use a gradient for those shadows, why not for the shadow cast by the entire piece? Looks great though!
