and way of thinking has always been something I really resonated well with, so yeah, I'll try not to be a stranger. Though, DA is a place that kinda defeats me sometime, so I physically have to like... go to your page and see what's up and stuff.
But, yeah, as for me: well, for one, I'm in Poland, and I'm planning on staying here for a while, so that's nice. And, secondly, I'm starting online school for Game Art and Design on monday, so that makes me nervous, haha (you can read about it on my most recent journal).

Right! I actually remember you posting a journal entry about it, but I was cleaning up my over 900 messages again XD I guess I souldn't watch so many people?
However, I think this is pretty cool 
I wanted to go for Game Art and Design, too, but I lack the money and some courage to move away from home all by myself just jet. I mean, I am living on my own right now, but with my mom still being within reach (2h by train) I would worry too much about her :3
Anyway, I'm going for communications design starting next year. I seems like it's pretty hard to get in, but I'll try anyway.

Sorry for the slow reply! I've been busy irl and with my first days of school! Whoo. Actually, its kinda derpy, since the classes I have right now are those like... discussion classes where we talk about what art is and stuff like that without actually doing art or learning anything practical, but meh, I'll just treat it like an English class because ultimately it just boils down to me writing papers.
But gawsh, thanks, but I dunno if I'm better than the people you work with. Maybe it's we just work in different ways, but then again, I'm not exactly sure what your work is, so maybe I am. Like, in my classes, it's 90% photography and graphic design students, and to be frank, those degrees don't require a lot of raw talent of creativity (I took a graphics art class, so I know). What can you tell me about communications design? I think I know a guy that is doing the same thing, and he described it as being quite general. Eventually he wants to use his degree to work on games I think, but what he is doing is nowhere near the visual kind of degree I'm going for.
Anyways, I think you would be really good at the game art and design thing! You definitely have the imagination for it, and your work is really good too (and you draw in that sexy digital art style that is all the rage with those kids these days). Maybe you'll do it eventually, but I think it would be so cool to know someone else who is doing these things. As for the moving away from EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING apprehensions, I totally get that, but at the same time, it's also quite liberating. But, for now, I'm glad you got your priorities on family, that's a very good thing to have.
AND FUCK YES I SAW THE NEW MLP S4. Dude... dude... listen... this was way more important to me than you realize, since in general I've been really disenchanted with the show and the fandom since like... the middle of season 2. So, hopefully this episode is a sign of things to come. But, just wow, they did such a good job, I even showed it to a non-brony friend of mine who was under the impression that ponies are gay as fuck and under normal circumstances, he might have been kinda right, but when he watched this he was like... "Wow, I want to see more." Probably the best thing about the season premier was that the pacing was just perfect for me. It didn't rush into anything, or kinda wrap stuff up in a snap, but really went from A to B and everything was kept relevant. I always felt that the other two-parters in the series had these kinds of pacing problems. But, blahblahblah I could go on forever. Basically, I'm very pleased, very pleased indeed. Lets hope the rest of the series isn't shitty.

Communications design, well, I think it has a bit of everything, but I don't think it leads to the same goal you're going for, either.
I'm concentrating on games in my free time right now. I don't know if you noticed (?) but I'm working on an rpgmaker game called "Birds of Paradise". What I really like about the whole matter are the illustrations! I could imagine me doing this in the future as well :3
And about MLP! I really really really loved it! I totally agree with you! It had the perfect pacing and on top of that I laughed so hard! First, when Celestia got captured (and I'm sorry about this XD) I had this voice in my head saying "It's raping time!" haha
And Discord! Oh my gosh, he's my favourite villain, so I was really happy to see him taking part in the premier.
One of the most interesting parts, though, was when Twilight transformed Zecoras potion with "Alicorn magic". This was clearly Sombra's dark magic she used there.
It was also nice to see Twi being thrown into the situation of having to manage a whole kingdom all by her own.
I hope this season will continue as great and powerful as it started!

I have to admit, the lemurs pretty much made my day, I love those little bastards, and I love the art here too!
As far as what your degree entails, I realize it isn't a game oriented degree... I was just kind of remarking upon how I think my friend is doing similar thing for his degree. His specific degree is called "Telecommunications and Human-Computer Interaction Design" but I guess it's a pretty general degree, so he wants to tailor it to video game stuff I guess. Honestly, I still have no idea what he's doing really. I just thought that what you mentioned to me kinda reminded me of it.
Dude, I can't even tell ya how much that episode made me happy.
Mostly, it just had everything I love in the show... like Luna and Nightmare Moon! Of my god, I'm such a lunafag (especially NMM) and yeah, I was pretty stiff as a board that entire Luna flashback scene (talking about raping time).
I'm also really glad that they're bringing back Discord, and on top of that, making him relevant! At first I was like... "Are the ponies really blaming him for this? What a buncha cunt, wtf... And, why is he even in this episode other than to tease Twilight?" And, then, as it turns out... he actually did the thing. ;_;
As for the whole alicorn magic thing, I really have no idea what that is all about. I mean, it can't be random that they do that, but it seems random to me, so maybe it'll be explained soon.
Finally, they're doing the one thing I thought they really needed to do, add continuity. I was kinda telling myself that they only way they are going to save this show's epicness is to go the way of an overarching story line (kinda what Lauren wanted to begin with). It's what adventure time is doing actually. Since, in the beginning of a show, or for a short series, random episodes are alright, they are usually good for character development, but afterwards you start to run out of ideas and then shit gets retarded. It started getting like that. The ponies have dreams and aspirations, and by ignoring them and putting them in situations they've already essentially been in before, you're just insulting the characters and the viewers intelligence. Granted, its a kids show, but Lauren always believe that didn't mean you couldn't make it intelligent or for adults as well. So, having Discord show up was important, and all the flashbacks were important, and adding in that box at the end was very important. And, good for fucking them for doing it!
And, also, let me tell you, haha, so yesterday I saw the leaked 3rd episode and it was also sehr gut!! Again, playing a bit off continuity, but generally it was just a really solid episode with a lot of great (in)character moments.

I simply love how they are trying to introduce a new threat this early in the story. I hope they continue like this!
What I really liked was RDs and AJs competition and Rarity being so stubborn at the end XD

Das Teil is halt eig. kein Drache, sondern setzt sich aus ganz vielen verschiedenen Tieren zusammen und ist der Gott des Chaos' und der Unstimmigkeit XD
