Your work is amazing. No telling how long it took just to complete; lots of layers too. I didn't enter because I couldn't think of anything to illustrate. Incredible work.

I really like your technique and style. One can clearly see there is a lot of potential in you but in my opinion you have to work a bit harder on the basics.
I don't want this to sound wrong nor I am trying to bash you in any way but there are few things I'd like to point out regarding this work.
- lightning: you have very strong light coming from above yet the dominating light is this little glowing orb on Sorcerers hand. It shouldn't be that strong considering the environment. Crusader is highlighted by unknown light source (I don't see it on the drawing) and therefore her face looks like illuminating by itself. No highlights coming from the orb on Barbarian chains or pelt. Sorcerers left breast is highlited more then her right even if its further away from the light source.
- anatomy: demon's hand in the middle is anatomically incorrect.
- composition: there is no established focal point and because of this it looks a bit chaotic. When I look at this painting I don't know where to focus my eyes as each of the characters stands out on its own.
Once again I am trying to give an honest critique here. I am not bashing this piece in any way. I see huge potential and despite all the flaws I absolutely adore this work. God know it's better then my own

A fairly good critique, though it has to be said in such fantasy settings "anatomy" and "realistic lighting" can really go wild, what with magic and demons throwing the laws of reality to the wind... the only glaring "error" for me is the bent axe haft, but then the curve might be intended so it's no real issue

it doesn't matter if it's fantasy or not. Capturing the light is the essence of painting so unless we're talking about completely different rules of physics my point stands.

Capturing what light? That makes sense if you're talking about still life or painting from reality but this piece is pure fantasy; "rules of physics" don't apply when a woman can create balls of fire and ice,, as such lighting can be as erroneous as the artist likes, it should be under no more scrutiny than the design of the demons being "unrealistic"

What's your point exactly?
Demon was of humanoid silhouette thus should have correct anatomy otherwise it is wrong and looks off. Not to mention with muscles like that this demon wouldn't be able to even use that hand.
Light behaves in a very specific way and there are errors in the way it was presented on this painting. I assume this was supposed to be a realistic painting therefore light should be presented in a realistic way.

My point is the humans look like humans, the demons look like demons; light might behave in a very specific way but we don't know how it behaves with magic or how magic behaves, so asking for realistic lighting when magic is involved is silly; that's all

Sorry but can we finish this pointless discussion please? I don't get your point or what are you trying to justify here.
We know exactly how light behaves. It's called physics. Trying to explain mistakes on the painting by crafting some strange theories or explanations is at least inappropriate.
Same applies for wrong anatomy reference on humanoid (it means it got the human like anatomy) demon.

I'm just saying... they aren't necessarily "mistakes" because we don't know what would happen with light when magic and/or demons are involved... best to leave physics and science out of Diablo or it's going to completely ruin the RPG experience

Sorry but this is a realistic painting isn't? It doesn't matter that the subject of this work is fantasy. It's not abstraction, cubism or surrealism. Even abstractionists don't neglect light. Light defines the object not the other way around.

This isn't realistic to me, it's a fantasy painting of a fantasy game... demons, magic, obscenely weapons wielded by gorgeous women... anyway, best not to spoil the comment section with our filthy opinions, each to their own eh

I do think we should stop this conversation as well. I suspect you are not a painter nor you have anything to do with drawing, painting at all.
I am talking about errors being made in one of the fundamentals of painting you're trying to justify them by saying it's ok to do them due to painting being of a fantasy theme.
I understand you like this work. I do like it myself, it's in my favourites for a reason, but we are talking about two different things so lets just stop here

Interesting critique. Everyone perceives things different. There is a lot going on but to me there is a circular pattern that takes the eyes around the piece rather than having them focus on a single element. I basically like it because of the all female cast kicking cabooses.
While you're here, and if you're not busy, would you mind critiquing my illustrations? Mainly the Lightning drawings.

I love love love the colours, the characters and the overall impression on the viewer
Just one thing to mention: the pose of the woman in the middle looks like it really hurts and makes her look less dynamic than she ought to be

That's an incredible depiction of the Wizard and the Barbarian. I'm not sure what the third figure with the morning star is (perhaps another Barbarian), but it is all quite fantastic.
