ACTIVE: Sandman Cosette has the ability to manipulate dreams and nightmares, altering them to what she wants her target(s) to see. Furthermore, she can take these dreams and nightmares and bring them out to make it look physical while her target is awake.

For her ability to work, Cosette initially has to have contact with her target's sleeping state, but once in, her target's mind is her playground. If unable to get her target into a sleeping state, Cosette needs a name to be able to 'mind jump' into them, but in this state her abilities are at it's weakest and she can only manipulate the fears and dreams that her target thinks of whilst awake. [However, in the case of her target being constantly afraid/dreaming of something, her powers work like normal.] While Cosette is in the mind of someone else, she cannot be bothered or moved great distances! If she is moved or bothered, the link between her and her target breaks and it is possible that her consciousness is left in the person's mind. [This is an extreme case that has a rare chance of happening]

Never really one to enjoy a dull moment, Cosette usually finds herself up and about looking for adventure. She enjoys meeting new people and making new friends, enjoying the company of others greatly. She's rarely shy and is usually sure of what she has to say, more often than not laughing it off if ever she slips and makes a mistake. She's the type of person who's got a way with words, using her silver tongue to her advantage as she enjoys when things go her way. Cosette also has a tendency to use this particular gift in catching herself a good few bachelors and bachelorettes, playing around and flirting with them when given the chance. She's unashamed and unafraid to admit her attraction for and to someone, finding that it's usually best if they know right away. [the only exception to this, perhaps, is if and when she falls in love as she has never experienced it before.]

Despite all that though, she knows when it's the right time to sit down and keep quiet, understanding that people do need their privacy and some peace every now and then. She's always willing to sit down and listen to others when needed, but try as she might, it's rest assured that a little cheering up speech or pep talk is given soon after as she's that person who does her best to look for a silver lining. One of the biggest conflicts in her personality is that despite being rather blunt, she has a tendency to be secretive, finding amusement in letting other's guess and figure things out. Lastly, although she gives importance to everyone she meets, those who have managed to weasel their way into their heart can be reassured that she will be loyal until the very end, defending them if necessary. To sum it up: albeit a handful, with enough patience, she will prove herself to be a genuine and loyal friend.

PAST

Born into wealth to Pierre and Marzia Vieux, Cosette's early years were blissful. However, when she had turned 2, her mother left their family, leaving young Cosette motherless, and to make matters worse, Pierre's business was steadily growing, making it quite difficult to be a hands-on parent. Because of this, the young girl was raised mostly by nannies and caretakers, only seeing her father on the weekends when he wasn't out on some business trip. Despite this, she harboured no ill feelings towards her father and mother, her closest and longest lasting nanny, Sabine, making her understand why her parents were usually absent. Cosette never craved for parental love as Sabine gave so much of this to her, attending recitals and little things that her father was unable to do so.

As she grew up, Cosette found herself more and more curious about her mother but was often turned away or asked to drop the topic whenever she asked her father.. so she asked Sabine instead. Despite her nanny's hesitance, she took Cosette to their attic where her father kept things relating to her mother: photos, memorabilia, even clothes. Sabine explained that her mother loved her very much, but ultimately left after finding out that her father had been cheating on her with another woman. Hurt and enraged that her father could do such a thing, Cosette began to harbour ill feelings for her father despite Sabine asking her not to, her ill feelings taking a huge toll on her already practically non-existent relationship with her dad.

It was around the year she turned 16 that she confronted her father about what she knew, after an argument she had with him in regard to her career choice. [Her father wanted her to take business so she could take over their family business once he retired, but Cosette wanted to pursue ballet] In the heat of their argument, Cosette angrily revealed that she knew what he had done to her mother, blaming him for their broken family. This seemed to hit straight home as her father's angry expression fell into one of defeat. Pierre had sat down and sighed, calling his daughter over to sit beside him as he explained and told her the truth.

[INFORMATION LOCKED]

After hearing what her father had to say, after seeing the proof, Cosette couldn't bring herself to be too angry with him.. she mostly pitied him for making the wrong choices during desperate times. However, this sparked a new interest in her, finding her mother. The young girl tried to do her research but couldn't seem to find any traces of her mom online except for what she was known for professionally, and this lack of information only sparked even more curiosity in her and was a partial motivator for her sudden change of career plans; her father could not argue with her this time around and supported her endeavours.

PRESENT

Years passed and Cosette has successfully made it as a [LOCKED], this helping her discover her mother's link to a rather powerful mafia in Italy, as to why her mother was linked to a mafia in the first place, she had no idea. Cosette continued to research, and eventually discovered her mother's location [albeit with difficulty] and decided to drop by, catching her at the worst possible time as some mafioso from a rival mafia had attacked her and her mother on their way back to her place from a cafe in the area. Now knowing too much, she ended up joining the mafia and does what she can to protect her mother and the rest of her family.
