The sketch this is painted over was originally a videogame character design I did 6 years ago. Some kid with crazy notions of bringing domesticity to dragons, but not much in the way of decent gear, so home-made armour will have to suffice. As with a lot of videogame ideas, nothing came of it, but it's nice to bring these designs back to life.Mozchops

I doubt one man can even tame a dragon. A whip would just feel like being smacked when it hits a dragon. The shield is freaking wooden so what good will that do. He has nothing to guard his feet so what happens if he gets burned from the ground?...And his pants look like it belongs to Jesters lol

In the 16th century almost veryone would were those "jester pants", especially the feared German Landsknechte and Swiss ReislΓ€ufer mercenaries.

The kid is naive and thus inadequately prepared, both physically and materially, to tame dragons. The "Dragon Tamer" is what he imagines he is. What do you reckon?

coollll design and story. but if the pile of fire/burnt wood is not parallel would be better. and add some stuff for comparison to show the scale of the dragon

the floor-junk that's not burning is seaweed, (its a beach scene), - and when the tide goes out, it draws all the strands in the same direction. maybe I should expand the picture to make this beach more apparent. as for scale, I put in some "scarecrows", but the dragons didn't fall for it.

Great Colors and depth! I especially like the home-made armor. Only problem I have is the smokes. Could've been done better. Still over-all amazing!
