This is my most recent sculptural piece to date. It was done for an Art unit which I did on The Beatles.Heads are made of plasticine, skeletons of wire, and bodies of thick aluminium foil. The Beatles logo on Ringo's kick drum was done by glueing a cut-out transparent sheet where I printed their logo. (You can probably guess that from the picture.) The heads are intended to somewhat resemble the originals as of their early days at the Ed Sullivan Show.

I wish I still had the jpg I was referencing from. It was a still from their performance at the Ed Sullivan Show. If you compare the faces, you'd see the key characteristics from their faces there are in my plasticine heads in simplified form.

Funny story...
I had to hand in my finished unit for Art class the next day. (Subject was "icons". You can see why I picked the Beatles.)
I didn't have anything done for it cause I had this bad tendency back then to slack off because I could do lots of sculptures within a few hours and make a documented scrapbook that scored big points. Technically, the scrapbook you hand in is supposed to be a journal of your artistic quest in the last 3 months (a term).
So, I didn't have anything for this unit, so I thought I'd make the band (since it's multiple sculptures and all that.) I spent the whole night to make it. Probably about 6 to 8 straight hours of work.
This unit scored quite high, but on my last units I scored full marks.
