There are a few things to be said about this cosplay. I had a hard time deciding between using the white shoes and belt he wore in the manga, or the black shoes and belt he wore in the anime, because the shoes he had in the manga were squared at the top and had a slight lift to them. In the end, I went with the former and in some shots, the boots I'm wearing look rather... feminine, in my perspective. That aside, my roommates agreed it was a good idea in theory. Ah well, you live and learn.Overall, the photoshoot was taken between 4:00-6:00 pm MT , so the lighting went down really fast once we got on location. I salvaged what pictures I could and hope the poses don't seem repetitive.
I didn't have a lot to work with prop wise either. Originally, I wanted to use a Kon plushie I had bought some years ago, but it was apparently in the storage unit and we didn't have time to go hunt it down. It would have become an all day affair.
Location: Outside the Scottsdale Public Library in Scottsdale, Arizona.

It wasn't difficult for me to cosplay him, because I've cosplayed reserved characters like him before. The costume I already had from when I cosplayed Ichigo in 2006-2007. Tip wise, just do a canon review before your photoshoot. It really helps when coming up with non-repetitive poses. Honestly, Ishida doesn't do much.

I'd love to cosplay him. But, I have a real problem with wigs. They never seem to hold all my hair. So I'd be Ishida with ginger strips :'3

There are tutorials out there for people with long hair and how to properly keep it under short wigs. Most consist of braids and bunrolls, plus lots of bobbypins and wig caps.

Though I think it would have been better to either take out the lip piercing for the shoot, or even use a clear stud.
If it's a cosplay you're gonna do multiple times you can definitely find his cross at either a local anime convention or online for fairly cheap. I've seen both his initial cross, and the five pointed quincy cross (pretty good quality too) at my local con. And I don't live in that big of a city.

Trust me, I wanted to remove my piercing badly. Unfortunately, at this current time, my lip is recovering from a minor infection and I'd rather not lose the piercing in the process of doing a cosplay as I had already done that previously with my Toward the Terra cosplay. I know the lip piercing breaks character and ruins the complete canon affect.
Sounds worth looking into.

Aaaah Well that is definitely understandable. I don't know very much about piercings and their subtleties, I was just going off of what I've seen a friend do. she has a labret, so she wears a clear stud whenever she does interviews or cosplays.
