Description
EDIT ::: UPDATE ::: 3.23.13'
I made a Copic Skin Coloring Demo and posted it here. I tried covering everything so its a bit of a long post, but feel free to ask me anything! Sorry that I am so slow answering questions here on dA, I don't log on for long periods, so feel free to leave your question on my blog or send me an e-mail.

/end edit/

I had intended to submit this a long time to dA, but well I guess at the time I had been on another hiatus or something...like always. So excuse the old address/name...

Anyway, I was trying copic markers for the first time when I bought them last year, so I tried some skin coloring : D~~ I LOVE rendering skin in any medium, I don't know why. So obviously, I purchased a few fleshy tones first.
I probably sound like a psycho.

Not submitting much new stuff..tho I am working on new stuff lol. Trying to build a portfolio of better work, while working on some other projects for people. I have more updates on tumblr than on here, so feel free to follow over there~

Copics Used:
E0000 - Floral White (For base color and some blending. Love this white!)
E21 - Baby Skin Pink
E04 - Lipstick Natural

Damn it, this is absolutely fantastic. Could you, by any chance, make a tutorial for that colouring method? I usually don't request something like that, because surely you've got other things to do, but if you have any time left at all I'd love to see this. You have such a beautiful technique.

hey m-aruka,

I'm looking to get some copic sketch markers and I want to know what colors i should get for skin tone.
I'm looking to get E000, E00, E11 & E21 to start with (and a colorless blender).. What colors would you recommend I buy, from your experience with copics?

Thanks

Oh myyyy look at that color combination. If you feel confident with your colorless blender, perhaps in the future you should do a short tutorial! I know it's one tool I never felt competent using, but you look like you've done so effectively here. So maybe we'll be seeing more Copic work in the future?

There's some more marker (mixed w. watercolors) work in my gallery.. I try to use as little blender as possible, but I also tend to use the base color as a blender. 8) I obviously have a lot to go anyway so I'm not really confident in tutorials yet XD;;

Oh! Okay, that makes sense too--I use the base color because I don't feel like the blender is my tool I suppose haha. c: Well then I look forward to them!
