Get out of here! So THIS was your animation too? I've seen many Game Grumps animated but I never would of guess this was yours! Nice work overall^^ ....thinking about it, not much of any Game Grumps animated is on Sakugabooru. Hey none of Ross' and/or Arin's animations are on Sakugabooru at all. Seems strange.

It' all good, can't really say there are any way anyone would guess it's mine, maybe the very heavy use of smears might be only thing to give it away (and even then you need to know I like smears) haha. There have been good stuff come out from GG animated, noteworthy when it comes to web toons, like this one: link Again we have to remember that, Sakugabooru is not measure of worth. Like, true, Arin and Ross are talented, don't have any animation on Sakugabooru, BUT they (and many others) have made huge waves and have been giving the way for future talents, their influence and importance cannot be overstated.

I know the GG did a big collab and they had the animator's names on the side as the video kept going. I think it was that Battle Kid animated collab. So theirs that. But I'm more use to your animation style so these days I can tell it's your work.
I'm aware that Spencer Wan did some work for the Game Grumps. (And one more guy I already forgot his name I'm going to kick myself later if I remember...Patrick something...aaah DX). But their animations get to be on Sakugabooru. I don't know. It slightly bothers me when certain animators don't get their "spotlight". Especially for a website that's all about good animation.

I think there are couple of collabs now, "Battle Kid", "The Grump Variations" and "Top That Remix"
Name you are looking for is probably Patrick Stannard. I don't think Spencer Wan have done GG stuff, I try to be on top of things, but if you know more, please share. If you mean "TWRP - Starlight Brigade" music video, I didn't find Spencer's name from the credits (though Patrick Stannard I did find) and I don't think music video connected to GG other way than Dan Avidan collaborating with them (TWRP). Feel free to correct me of course and if there are more Spencer Wan woks, I would like to see it haha
I wouldn't worry that much if stuff are not Sakugabooru since good animation is always appreciated and shared around, what I've seen, good animation will almost always get recognized (one way or another)

Stannard! That's the name. His style is quite similar to Wan's. He's an impressive animator.
Ah yes. All those GG animated and yet one of them is on Sakugabooru. That Starbomb music video but it's only Wan's cut. www.sakugabooru.com/post/show/… Apparently a user on Sakugabooru went to his Tumblr and posted this animation onto there. Wish that person would upload more of Wan's animation that he did for Arin. And I am very much aware that Stannard has done work for the GG before and I saw the Starlight Brigade animation (brilliant work of course) I just failed to see why the mods on the Booru "neglected" the other Starbomb music videos. Those videos had good animation too. What a shame. I truly hope some other mods/users will find them and post those clips themselves.

Yeah, their styles are kinda similar, both are very good animators
Just to clear stuff up; I've always kept GG and their other projects (like Starbomb) separate things, so that's why I got surprised you said Wan had done animation for GG, I was like "where, tell me!" haha. If GG and Starbomb are same, then, yeah, you can say he's worked haha. One more thing, so that we are at the same page, "Starlight Brigade" and "Starbomb" are separate; "Starbomb" is band formed by GG members Arin and Dan (and Brian Wecht I think), "Starlight Brigade" is band TWRP's music video (made by "Knights of the Light Table") which was featuring Dan from GG.
Probably some have seen them, we can only guess. But hey, if it makes you feel better, probably most who have been taking part making Starbomb music videos, are working for animation/game studios, indie and big, such talent won't go unnoticed (some music videos are made by Studio Yotta)

Hm. Yeah that's true too. But then again Starbomb is a collaboration with Game Grumps and Ninja Sex Party so there's that.
Hm. Yeah that's good that they're working with other studios. And yeah good that the folks on the Booru acknowledges Studio Yotta's work.

Yeah, that's correct way of saying it haha.
I' m not sure if I understood correctly, but I say this just to be sure: Watch out you don't jump the gun; When animation is not on there doesn't mean they don't acknowledge it, there are animation I've enjoyed watching, but would not put on Sakugabooru, but I still acknowledge it the same way I do other works

Some said they are allowed as long as you don't tag it with the "original source", you make Naruto fan animation, but don't tag it with it. Though I can't say for sure if this was said by a mod.
First link have maybe 1 cut which would probably be accepted. Other links have super interesting visuals, but maybe less movements, if looking closely, there might be couple which might be accepted. There are a ton of fan animations and such, it might be that they try not to clutter the site and keep it more focused on shows, with some exceptions. I'm also pretty sure you also need to ask permission if the animation is from individual, since there are people who don't their animations posted elsewhere, I got this from below one of my animations: here Rather than getting yourself worked up when some animation you like is not on Sakugabooru, share it around, show it to your friends online/irl who also like animation and tell them to share it around if they also like it.

Yeah. I'm glad that someone is posting fan animation with the proper tags (sometimes...and speaking of proper tags I seriously cannot understand how I'm the only one who sees such a big issue right now that the tags of this specific movie is entirely wrong www.sakugabooru.com/post/show/… www.sakugabooru.com/post/show/… www.sakugabooru.com/post/show/… Did the uploader get his movies mixed up? It's not the Arceus movie these clips are from it's the Shaymin movie and yet no one not even that "Ashita" guy whatever his name is, fixed the error in the tags)
Well...I can only hope more fan animation gets accepted onto Sakugabooru. Personally I don't see why not. I see a few mods/uploaders making an effort to do so.

Uploader got it most likely wrong. Watch out you don't get yourself worked up, since it's only been 1 day when these got uploaded with the inaccurate source. I've seen they pay much attention that the sources are correct so I don't think this inaccuracy will stay like this for too long. The way you phrased it, I thought these uploads had wrong tags a month or two. Mods can't be many places at once, everyone have priorities and when important stuff are done you go do less important, then more less, so on and so forth. Don't let your deep personal grudge cloud your judgment, of course it will have some effect, but it's good thing to be aware of it because then you can better control yourself. Even if I'm defending mods, I do see where you are coming from, this is important to you, but rather than getting upset, try put this passion towards something positive, like you've done with drawing. And of course I'm not saying you should not to be critical to anything, just that how you phrase and go about it can make all the difference.
Fan animations not being there, it's probably more to do with that no one is uploading haha

I try not to get so worked up about it and let it pass like the win in a grassy field. But stuff like that just makes me grit my teeth so hard. I would of not wasted a moment to fix those tags myself if I were a mod.
*sigh*....alright fine. I'll calm down about it.

Yeah, that's better, it's overall recommended to calm down first before starting to write stuff publicly, we all have those experiences when we get angry and talk stuff we regret later. I think you might have unhealthy relation to that site when it starts to affect you this much, it might be good you to take break from going there (and other booru sites): limiting yourself from going to certain sites can be very liberating and eye opening, you also get a ton more free time which you can use for improvement for example If you want to look sakuga, watch a couple sakuga MAD's from youtube, then start working, it might inspire you and get you more hyped to make cool stuff

Alright, I'm calm, I'm cool, I'm relaxed (I'm still ANGRY-) calming, calming down.
Yes I've been practicing more drawings lately but I've been planning to go back to Twitter and posting there. Someday.
I'd like to go back to Twitter and DM you some storyboards for some fan animations plans I've done so I can see what you think.

Great, better be calm, you make better decisions then
More the better, you can draw even if you don't have Twitter, I would even say it's better you don't have it since it can affect your productivity, though it can work as motivator if you do the "I post art everyday" thingy haha
It would be interesting to see

I mean I'm still a tiny bit annoyed by them whenever I keep away from the Booru and study other forms of animation and yet I came across this.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=vw-nx2… My usual comment would be "Why isn't this on Sakugabooru?" and it is but I rather not ask that on Youtube. I know better than that. But I don't get it. The scene of her letting out her hair is nicely animated and it's the kind of scene that SHOULD be on Sakugabooru. If I still had my account, If I knew how to clip scenes from videos I'd post that scene myself on the Booru without giving it a 2nd though. But I don't understand why those "mods" aren't doing it themselves. How come they didn't see this video? It's ridiculous.
But anyways I've been calm lately. Cleaned out my room a bit and found Richard Williams (Glad the guys on the Booru have his animation on there for crying out loud...) Animation book. Dusted it off me-self and plan to take a gander. So I'm trying to focus on my own work. Did a couple of storyboards myself to do some of my own fan animations. I feel not so frustrated as I was a few months ago but I feel light headed (not in a "sick" way XD)

We are allowed to get annoyed, but sometimes it's also good to watch if it's worth it, since it may be that you ruin your day with it. Hair animation is decent, not sure if it's that special to be accepted to sakugabooru: Since there are not much else than hair animation I would think it needs to be extra good hair animation so that it would be accepted, that's just my opinion though.
Aaand I'm not sure what to think about you messaging animators the "Why isn't this on Sakugabooru?", if you want to them to get noticed, I think there are better ways, like recommending they participate to #animonthly on twitter.
Good to do something which puts your mind to something more positive, and yeah, study the book, and really take his advice getting good at drawing; I recommend this video: link (overall I've noticed Proko podcasts are very useful, especially for starting artists) I've been going on and on about anatomy, but if you are beginner, it might not be thing you should start with. I believe I saw you say something about "no need to draw from real life" or something like that (probably was your Instagram), there are benefits from drawing from other artists (like learning different styles), but not so good when you are starting and want to learn how to draw things, since IF the artist draw, let's say, legs wrong, you "learn" to draw those wrong because you don't know artist is drawing those wrong; since you don't have prior knowledge. It WILL be pain to relearn to draw those correctly. Use your beginner stages to your advantage, learn things correctly from the very beginning.
Okay, when I was writing this I noticed your journal entry: I really, really recommend you take a break from all of this and focus on your drawing skills and animation for a month or two, or even a half a year, use internet only when it's necessary or you looking for material for drawing/animation. There are probably a lot of time you could use for drawing, commenting and surfing the internet to look for good animation is good and all, but thing which really pushes you forward is doing it. My take on the "pandering" you talked about, I think it's just difference in taste, which is good/worthy, you might see some animation worthy, but someone might say and think otherwise, there are as much different opinions as there are people. Like, some examples you provided, there are couple I would not personally put on sakugabooru. But yeah, most likely last time I talk about this stuff, I just recommend you look what you can learn from this, like the ban you got, I can understand why you got it. Let's all push forward and learn from mistakes!

First: It's not the program that matter, it's how you good you are and how you are using it
Yeah, Flash it is now called that, but I used little older version, when it was still called Flash. I should say that it doesn't matter which version you are using if you are making 2D frame by frame animation. If you want animate using Flash, I recommend just getting Flash MX which is free version: link
I've used it and it's very solid version, here are couple animatations I made using it (click to see larger):
When I moved to newer versions; the way I animate didn't change. Programs I'm currently using to animate are Flash 8 and Animate CC, but I've bought Clip Studio Paint EX which I hope becomes my main program to animate and draw

Cool dude! Work hard and you will get there! For animation there is book called "The Animator's Survival Kit", you can easily find PDF somewhere, though I always recommend supporting the creators. For the very basics of animation I recommend looking the "12 principles of animation", there is handy video which goes through all: link
Start with simple practices like the timeless classic "bouncing ball". When I was starting I did that and also started going through the "51 Great Animation Exercises to Master": link (video explaining the first one: link ) I didn't go through all of them, but I probably should have. And lastly, extra video wich helped me tremendously understand animation: link
If you are fan of japanese animation I recommend the video series "Sakuga: The Animation of Anime (2013 presentation": link
And site where you can go look for the names (and animations they have done), Sakugabooru: link
For animation programs, if you don't have much money, get Flash MX which is free: link it's solid program for frame by frame animation and I used it for some time
Okay, now that I've talked about animation, next thing is probably even more important; Drawing fundamentals. There are couple of them, but I think for animation, most important ones are anatomy and perspective. I can't say what is best way to go about it, just don't mindlessly draw and copy anatomy, but try really undestand it. You can look up artist Krenz Cushart, the way he draws anatomy is very good for animation: link (google search) And for overall anatomy I give playlist from Youtube channel Proko: link
I know I gave a ton of information, don't worry though, you don't need to do all of these everyday: Analyze your work where you need to improve and make a plan, chop things down to small bites, focus on one thing at the time, like for example, draw heads on one day and practice animation next day. And remember to take one or two days off every week. There are no shortcuts, great artsis are great because they worked hard
These are just what I think, remember to look things up yourself so you get multiple opinions.
Just out of curiosity, have you thought if you want to work with japanese or western studios or just want animation work from individuals?
