Levels....I'm pretty serious...
LEVELS
if there is one thing, I've been facing during this drawing.... it were nasty levels....
This drawing began as an experiment. I've learned that a drawing is build up out of 2 dimensions. The first is... GOD damn levels, en the second, are the hues... and so, I've tried to build op this one! ...
hehe, ... and when I had to draw Shiranui's fire... Ifell in my old tradition again! ^^ first the hues, and then the levels!
soo... it's a combo technique drawing!
in a few hours, I'll try to upload the youtube film
Critics are very higly appreciated! this is a very interesting style, and if I can improve, that would be like, awesome! also, if you've found tutorials that explain the greyscale to colour thing well, let me know!

though i didn't understood your explanation completly (that story of "level" by exemple) it greatly AMAZING.
The details of the body, the shadow, everything is hightly skilled.

oh, levels are just your shadings. levels give each point in your drawing a certain value how much "white" or "black" that specific dot is. some artist start to work only with black and white (greyschale) because they want to make sure that their shadings and depth is not determined in the first place by their hues, but by the amount of black and white, or in general, by it's lightsource. after they've done that, they'll add the colours (hues) (your eyes work btw the same. you have the ability to observe the amount of light, and you have the ability to see what kind of light you're looking at (colours or hues))
