Description They are creatures fitting Halloween. And because there is barely some art of Ghoul Rats here and everywhere else, have some Ghoul Rats.

Ghoul Rats... they cling everywhere, really - everywhere.
No wonder Midna screams a lot... Pervy mice! They respect no privacy.

For everyone that is in need of privacy and references of Ghoul Rats.
More information can be found here for example: zeldawiki.org/Ghoul_Rat

and the best thing is - they don't attack you!
They just cling on you and weight you down (creepy nonetheless.... )

Dude I cannot tell you how long I've been looking for a good picture of ghoul rats to reference from in case I decide to stick them in my comic XD!

Think you can do one for shadie (both true and wolf) and kargrocs? can never find really good pics of them >n> plus I would like to see what a "normal" wolfos would look like in TP, I saw a model but it wasn't very clear/full XD

lyoth737 In reply to drahonlover [2014-04-08 19:23:15 +0000 UTC]

that's what I made them for!
(because it really sucks that there're almost no drawings of them, sigh..)
You wanna do a comic? Wit Ghoul Rats? SWEET!!

"shadie"? who? (sry )

You would like one with Kargarocs? TP or WW - edition?
They were also on my list (almost all kargarocs I find are feathered ones)

well, for a "normal" wolfos in TP I can only speculate about...
but maybe my studies on TP white wolfos lyoth737.deviantart.com/art/St… and OoT wolfos lyoth737.deviantart.com/art/St…
might help? Otherwise... I could try "creating" a normal wolfos type in TP style...
but one thing for sure - TP normal wolfos would be dirty guys (hiding in holes, in tall grass and behind bushes)!

I'm still not entirely certain if ghoul rts will appear, but their is a good chance just cuz their so cool XD

And shadie is well, the Hero's shade that you meet several times in game XD I just like calling him Shadie or Shade for short XDDDD

and yaeh I meant the TP versions XD you jus can't find too many of them online and I'm hoping to include them in my comic too XDDD

And I f you could create "normal" wolfos TP style that would be cool since you only see the white variety XD

yeah, sad - how many enemies won't kill you in Legend of Zelda?
Being the friendly enemy they're really underrepresented everywhere
They would make super training partners - invisible weights you have to carry around...
with them, daily routine would turn into hardcore training
or they would be good for spying or hindering enemies
I don't even know if they would need food - being all bony and skinny

...the only problems would evolve with not being able to see them. Just too bad.

they were great bosses (including Armogohma because you can whack-a-mole there with a giant hammer
Did you whack yourself in the battle? I did accidently xD )

the suffix -roc is often used for birds in Loz - inspired from the giant bird of mythology, called Roc
(this bird is told to prey on elephants like a hawk preys on mice) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roc_%28m…

drahonlover In reply to lyoth737 [2014-04-09 20:47:19 +0000 UTC]

I've heard of the Roc, according tyo my Dragonology book sometimes people would mistake an African wyvern for a roc since they're supposed to be quite similar.

I think it's part of the series but I'm not sure...is it by Dr. Chest Drake by chance?

(I do want to get that book though )

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

lyoth737 In reply to drahonlover [2014-04-09 22:18:37 +0000 UTC]

nah, by Dr. Ernest Drake - but my version is in German, so it might be Dr. Chest Drake in English ?
The book is about all kind of mythological creatures - sadly no dragons...
and I've a book about Dragonology specified in ice dragons from the same series
is your version about dragon kinds?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

drahonlover In reply to lyoth737 [2014-04-09 22:55:39 +0000 UTC]

Then it is part of the series XD

And you've got the book on frost dragons too? TnT

I got Dragonolgy (on basic species) and the handbook with all the activitives for a budding dragonologist. I do want to get more though, its how I got so into dragons! XDDDDDD

In Arbiter's Grounds I saw flecks of dirt coming off the ground and was like ,"Really Nintendo? You implement FLEAS into the game?!" When I first encountered these, I thought my game was glitched and Midna was spazzing out, after I looked on the internet to see if anyone else experienced this, and it said to turn on senses and voila there were these rats on me!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

lyoth737 In reply to Blue--Eyed--Beast [2013-11-10 18:49:56 +0000 UTC]

xD having fleas would really be the worst enemy
probably they would drain your hearts at slow pace
and everybody would try to avoid you (at least the Hylians like they do when you're a wolf)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Blue--Eyed--Beast In reply to lyoth737 [2013-11-10 19:55:47 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, they would be probably the worst and most annoying.

worse than these termites and the moths, because they would stick to you all over the place

YamasakiHaku [2013-10-28 00:06:11 +0000 UTC]

I just hate them, but the first time I saw some I was in the desert tower and I was in wolf form. I was walking and then I saw Midna dancing, and I was like what the hell xD

*do ya see these moves !?* XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

lyoth737 In reply to YamasakiHaku [2013-10-28 22:05:21 +0000 UTC]

XD I first got them in human form and I had no idea why he was suddenly like wearing iron boots
until I changed out of curiosity into wolf form
the dancing of Midna is absolutely the best thing about those Ghoul Rats, indeed
she should do that more often! XD

lyoth737 In reply to tiberius121212 [2013-10-27 16:35:22 +0000 UTC]

unless you're an animal you would have problems - they're invisible to sight
you have to use smell as well for that
but on the other hand, they won't bite and are very clingy xD

xD yeah, chop it down! (though, I guess we'd only find bones in the Ghoul rats... but we'll never know )
taking an aspect of life and studying it also makes us more aware of it and helps understanding it

oho! looking accurate and detailed! Also fitting for Halloween!
I've focused more on appearance (because I don't know whatever these Ghoul Rats and the other enemies
have inside of them - we never see the insides, so we cannot know for sure if there are bones and blood
or something entirely different ^^ - I mean, they puff up in smoke, how do they do that???)
and also behaviour (instant solved question - they attack! XD )

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Leoma-silfren In reply to lyoth737 [2013-11-16 05:14:53 +0000 UTC]

Thanks! I always assumed the rats were ghosts, essentially, but because of the unique haunting magic of arbiter's grounds they can exist outside the norm. This also explains why you can only see them as a wolf which can see spirits.

Perhaps they aren't necessarily malignant, and are actually just trying to get back? so they latch onto the one who has that connection trying to follow him.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

lyoth737 In reply to Leoma-silfren [2013-11-16 19:57:10 +0000 UTC]

that would be quite possible
and would also explain why they don't attack Link despite having huge fangs ready
they're really out of the norm because they're one of only very little existing types of enemies that don't really 'attack'
... if the game would be a real world, they would also work great as weights for building up muscles
