This is 's character Aeneas for the PE Round 16. There wasn't much background info on the guy, so I'm not sure if this is way off base and way OOC . . . but I had to draw it. Ever look at a character or a concept and then just WHAM! a picture will come to you? That's what happened with this guy. As soon as I read about his "Crusader" type dressing style and took a gander at Virage's pics of him, I couldn't get this image out of my head. O.o From your "almost flaming homosexual" comment, I'm assuming that normally this guy would be the lover, not the fighter. But then I also figured that if you give a man a spear, he's gotta use it sometime, right? ^^ And the quote just seemed to fit, to me, I dunno why. I hope this is ok, Virage! I'm especially fond of the coloring in this one, it's so bold and the image is really striking. Great posing and good job on the wings (why is it that everyone I know can draw wings so well but I can't ;_; ). My favorite part is the bottom of the spear. I'm not sure why, I think it's because of the way you dappled the coloring on the red, and it's just very well shaped

Yah, I spent particular detail to the lance, since I usually SUX at drawing weapons. And the hilt especially. I was really going for a puckered leather texture look. ^o^ And I only draw wings so well because I follow NeonDragon's wing tutorials religeously. LOL
