Description

Front part of the bookcover I painted recently for Justan Larson for a book titled ‘The Witch’. Fabric was so fun to paint in this one!

I kind of like how, between the last book cover and this one, it kind of appears as if he's broken away from that phantomlike lady and has gotten his wits back about him... I haven't read the books so I have no idea how accurate I am lol.

What goes through your mind as you're designing a book cover? I love these

Thank you! I'm very glad you like the book covers! And from my understanding, the plot of the first book with the phantomlike lady is pretty much all about the character breaking away from her. The plot of this book is set after the events of the first one, if I did not mix up the timelines.

When I'm designing a book cover I usually request as much information about the book as possible from the client and try to find something that personally resonates with me and also represents the overall theme of the book well.
