Last of the overly-sexual pin-ups... I promise XD What the hell has happened in my life to bring me to this point? Oh, right, my thesis project. Too much stress leads me to drawing sexy versions of cartoon characters to get on with my life. C'est la vie.Yeah, I'm just gonna leave this here.

Okay I'm going to be stupid and critique a drawing that is nearly a year old, but I only just saw it.
Anyway, I think it's a really great drawing, but there are some anatomical problems throwing it off. The torso appears very elongated, keep in mind the tips of the fingers tend to lad at the midpoint of the thigh when the arms are straight. I know they are bent here, but he's also hunched over some. The belly button usually falls right around where the 'long' abs at the bottom and the next pair meet, you've got them a row higher. That said, where you have it appears right proportionally - in which case I would just kind of dissolve those bottom abs into the longer ones and move the entire lower body up a bit. The obliques will stick out at almost this same level, you've got them way lower here.
Also, I kind of feel bad for the guy... picturing the anatomy through the pants, it looks like he's not packing much 'down there'.
Heh, anyway, I think this is a really good drawing, it's just that bit threw me off and I had to say something even though it's probably useless this late, haha.

Critique is never useless; even if halfway through this I realized some of the errors you've mentioned, truly, there's nothing wrong with giving me feedback. It's always nice to have things to keep in mind for the next time I do a similar drawing!
Haha, you're definitely right about his torso. I posted this on Tumblr and somebody reblogged it with the caption, "Looks like we're about 0.5 seconds from a Mako dick-slip," or something to that effect. I cracked up, but he/she was right. Coulda just nudged his abs and waistband up a bit and I think the effect would've been corrected.
All in all, seriously, never apologize for critique! In fact, I greatly appreciate it. I might not apply everything I hear and learn in every single drawing, but anything outside eyes tell me, I can keep in my memory bank. Thanks for your comment!

Really, I am loving the way you are drawing the eyes in your Korra fanart. Is the very expressive cartoon style of the show somehow subconsciously influencing the way you're drawing? They seem to pop out at me for some reason.
Also, you've done such a good job on the noses ... I feel like I want to pick them.
However! I have to admit, the scarf style you got going on kind of makes him look like one of those men....at that clothing store.....is it American Eagle? Aeropostle? Something like that.

Could be? I was referencing the Nickelodeon-provided turnarounds for Korra and Mako to make sure I was getting parts of their outfits right (not like Mako here is wearing more than gloves and his trusty scarf, but still), and I tried to watch how I drew his eyes. He actually has quite, well, beautiful eyes in cartoon form... they're kind of thickly lined, and I like how they're drawn in the show.

Funny, I actually thought that myself. These pin-ups kind of spiraled downward into campy, objectifying drawings, so in this case I'm alright with Mako looking like a Hollister mannequin/scarf model.

He's one of the main characters from the new Avatar series, The Legend of Korra. This is what he usually looks like. Haha. Glad I could capture him in an attractive way...

Cool, I didn't know there was a new one. I liked Legend of Aang (from what I saw of it), so will keep an eye out for this one. One of those awesome shows that's nominally for kids but everyone can enjoy it.

I'm still working my way through Last Airbender, and I am absolutely loving it. I regret not watching it when it was actually on TV, for I have the feeling it would have defined my childhood... Legend of Korra is doing the same for my senior year of college. haha. I'm like WHOAH THIS IS ALL I CARE ABOUT AND I MUST WATCH THIS ON SATURDAYS! AHHH!
