My cats are sorta like that too, but luckily not as rage-inducing. I clean and fill their water thing, but they never drink from it. They always lick water from bowls left in the sink.

leaving the water bowl on the counter would be like ASKING them to tip it over. I've tried to get them to drink from the faucet because it's cute but they won't. had an old cat that was just like that though, had to leave the bathroom sink at a trinkle for him

my cat will sit on the edge of the sink and STARE at me until I go over and turn it on, and sometimes, he'll just hop off and run away after I do so
