Description
This is the first of a series of illustrations I did of my Zodiac Blues characters. If you haven't read the comic ([link] hint, hint), it's a comedy about a girl (Elin, the redhead) who puts way too much faith in her horoscope, so the idea of doing this illustrations with the sign's symbol was a natural one. It was also my first attempt with Photoshop 7 AND Opencanvas (The background was done in Photoshop, she was colored on Opencanvas... everything was drawn by hand previously)(It's also the first thing I upload with the paid account)

Reminds me a lot of Alphonse Mucha's work; stunning use of yellows and reds! ^_^ I love her pose as well, very appropriate, and the level of difficulty looks...up there. ^_^;; I've read what you have of Zodiac Blues so far, and I'm really liking the premise...it's the comic book geek inside me. Great work!

I\'ll admit I had to look up the name because even when I\'m a big fan of the Art Noveau style (Most of my newer stuff is doen with it in mind), I don\'t know any of the artists who made it great ^_^;

It\'s Taurus.
There\'s still no Taurus in the story (There\'s a Cancer, an Acuarius, a Capricorn -Phil- and a... I think a Gemini -I just formated the computer, so I don\'t have my notes at hand) but the plan is that there will be a character for each sign.
And I\'ll do a similar illustration for them all.
