1. Any of various transparent, often subtly colored marine cnidarians of the order Siphonophora, consisting of a delicate floating or swimming colony of polyplike and medusalike individuals. -adj -ous. [New Latin siphonophora, Greek siphonophoros]

I don't quite see this as a horror piece. In any case, I love the design and use of saturated colors. The wood texture which shines through also adds something to it.

Thank you! I chose the siphonophore creature to be represented with the intertwined bodies because I really wanted the viewer to think about the concept of individuality vs. integration in relationships.

Yeah I looked them up after that....I was thinking of those weird jelly like TINY things that live deep in the ocean. But siphonophore are insane!and i thought it couldn't possibly get any weirder down there...its a colony of things that try and look like a jellyfish, wtf. hahaha! awesome, I love it. Totally makes sense now, thanks.
