No idea why marsh.Scene reminds me of one.
I've recently been getting urges to do something like this, draw a beast of some sort with graphite and go all out with the details and textures.
I'm very pleased with how this turned out. The branch is my favorite. That was what I worked on first and it came out the best. There is something so special about crooked old branches.<3
This isn't meant to be a wolf. Just a slightly dead, fluffy and rather fat canine.
I only did a few minor adjustments on photoshop because my scanner ate it, half digested it, spat it out.
Its a ghost.
About 4 hours of work went into this.

I have to agree, the branch is really well done in this picture. It just gives off a very dead, snap sort of feel to it. It's also not too strict on lines or anything of the sort, it could really go as a portrait. Well done!
The ghost canine is pretty well done. It almost looks like this picture was done all in lead. Is it?

That branch indeed is awesome. You can see the texture very well (in the full view) and you've put very much effort in the lightning. The canine seems to be glowing, which is hard to archieve with traditional work. Great job

Wow, I have to say, the detail on this one is amazing! Especially on the branches, the way you did reflecting light from the ghost canine onto the branch and still managed to be super detailed with the wood grain.

Man that's crazy! I love the glow effect. It's pretty hard to do with graphite, but you pulled it off magnificently.

I think that this represents you quite a bit. I can honestly picture you sitting down and drawing this, however creepy that may be.

Nice textures and detail! I really like the woody branch :] Nice fur detailing, too! n_n And I like how the eyes of the canine look all hollow and empty - good for ghostly effect :] Good contrast of white and black ^^
