Troutpaw wearing an uncharacteristically melancholy expression. The usually charismatic and upbeat apprentice is everyone's favorite golden boy. He is the oldest and largest of the apprentices. He was apprenticed 2 moons later than he should have been because his hind leg was dislocated during the attack on the camp by Lilacclan. He always tries to get along with and cheer up the others, often to the point of being obnoxious. He is the best fighter of the 4 of them with Hornetpaw a close second.
Ever since her father's injury Hornetpaw seems to have a bone to pick with Troutpaw, she is aggressive and antagonizes him but they get along well in the times he can smooth over her prickly nature or when they need to rely on eachother in a fight.
He has a crush on the medicine cat apprentice, Fennelpaw, and used to have a crush on Smokepaw. He tends to be a bit of a romantic.
His parents are Pinefoot and Sablewhisker, his older brother is Anthail.
His mentor is Burnetface
