That seductive look you have given her as well as dressed all in red - the colour of passion .......The shoes and dress is very detailed. Its like she is waiting for prince charming to come along lol - the background setting is beautiful but for me what really stands out is how stunning you have drawn the grass - wow - Overall , another exceptional drawing - Thanks for sharing

Thank you. I appreciate that ... the grass was time consuming but I think it was worth it. I like the way you view it, thanks again.

The detail of the vegetation is just incredible. I always lose my patience doing plants or trees, but this looks like you stuck with it for such a long time. It looks fantastic.

Thank you! I'm slightly changing my approach to plants and trees (less time consuming) but I'm glad to have done this one the way I did. Thanks again for the awesome comment.

Want to know something interesting? As much as I love this piece, I just finally noticed the waterfall in the background, as far as it being a separable entity from the rest of the paradisaic area around your figure. I suppose it was just hard to pay attention to anything in the center besides the woman in red.

lunarsparks In reply to Vanidar [2007-05-28 10:43:24 +0000 UTC]

Oh really! Hehe. That is interesting. For some reason, I got the impression that some people were looking at the scene for the landscape rather than the girl. Though that is a good thing because I spent a lot of time on the foliage, it does give me great satisfaction to know that someone definitely noticed the girl as well. Thank you for the informed feedback. I really do appreciate it very much.

Arrrghhh!! Did those leaves make you crazy? @_@
Glad to see that after a long work, the picture has came out beautiful!! The details are so...... detailed!!
She looks like Eve, it seems she's offering you the forbidden apple!
I can almost feel under my fingers the softness of the fabric of her dress and the smoothness of the column!

Wow! The finished product definitely exceeds all of my expectations I never imagined that the pillar she was leaning against would be a tree, and I wasn't expecting that gorgeous waterfall in the background =3 I find it incredible that you drew the leaves and grass by hand; I thought for sure you had used a brush o0o I love the little details, like the glowing blue flowers on the vines and the roses in the background. Just beautiful

lunarsparks In reply to roquera [2006-12-13 22:29:38 +0000 UTC]

Thank you very much Roquera. Actually I didn't mean for the column to look like a tree (well not a living one) but how I've positioned the leaves creates that kind of effect I suppose. I wanted to give the impression there was a flowered canopy over her rather than having the columns cut off at the top of the picture, but I really like how you view it. It does look like a tree and that would be a nice way to think of it.

Again thanks for commenting and the fav. I am so glad you like it.

Ah! It looked so organic I just thought it was a tree x);;; I forgot to mention how much I love the way the lady turned out; she looks like she high-heeled her way out of a cocktail party and right into Eden

Wha-wha-WHA??? How did this NOT appear in my Inbox???? *searches old devWatch messages frantically* RARRGH!! I can't believe I missed seeing this for a WHOLE WEEK!! DDD<

Now, on to the actual, long-winded comment:

ZOMIGAWD. THE *DETAILS*. I'm agreeing with =raxephion right now; how in the hell DID you do this?? O___O It seems that EVERYWHERE I look, I seem new, subtle details that have been SO carefully incoporated into the whole painting!! BEAUTIFUL job on the woodwork, and I just plain LOVE those little lights!! (So cute!!). SO many details, like the road off to the side, the leaves, waterfall (Which has been done GORGEOUSLY, by the way; excellent job on the hues of the surrounding rocks, too.), trees, ferns, leaves, flowers...just...WOW. Yeah, in love with the paint job right now. It could be its own Deviation, if you ask me.

Oooh, such a seductive expression on the woman's face!! She looks like she's *plotting* something though... VERY original pose, with her holding her heel and all, and the dress really matches/works!!

Ah, yeah, just can't stop staring, taking in all the little details...it's like reading a good book over and over, and finding something NEW *EACH* time. Your effort and time were VERY well-spent, Lunar; the leaves look like they were HELL to do; did your hand fall off?? O___O??

Okay, I should shut up now...well, keep it up, and I can't WAIT until you finish up your secret "Detailed" Project, heheh. ;]

lunarsparks In reply to Pikakus [2006-12-02 23:20:22 +0000 UTC]

Hehe, where do I start ... that was such an amazing comment and I didn't expect someone to take it in as much as you did. Thank you so much for looking at it so hard because, yeah, I think my hand did fall off. I went to sleep dreaming of leaves as well. The parts behind the column were coloured too in case I moved the positioning. It seems to be the case where people love the background more. I'm really happy that you looked at the woman too.

It was fun to complete something this detailed, though, even if a bit more challenging than some of the others I have done.

Thank you so much for the awesome comment. Every word means a lot to me.

Thank you so much Tim. The trees and leaves were definitely the reason it took longer. Thank you for your suggestion as well, though it may have been a bit more subtle in the way that I did it. It still helped.

I really am happy that you like it. Your opinion means a lot.

Aww, thank you Asrac. Your words mean a lot to me.
I tried very hard to make this right. I had to make sure with all the plants.
You have to do so much detail with them. I learned a lot in doing this picture.

Hehe, you are learning very quickly ... but it is very sweet of you to say that. I would help you anytime.

*pats Rax's back* Lol!! I like making you amazed.

Thank you SO much though, I'm happy now that you have faved it. I thought after all that time spent on it, that I wouldn't be able to survive the critique but I still got some. I'm just happy that the majority of the responses were good. I'll let you can say something if you want.

How in the hell did I do this? Well, doing all the grass and leaves individually made my fingers and eyes bleed. I suppose I just really got into this one. I wanted to make it as best I could.

Finally! I've been waiting for this! It turned out way different then I expected, it seemed it would be brighter to me. I mean, its really nice, nontheless. I love thebackground, still. In the penciled one, I saw everything at a same amount of detail, really. I was suprised how you made the background faded.

I don't know much about digital.. At all, but I mean, this rocks. So, that's all I know how to say about it. :]

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

lunarsparks In reply to Masquerade-Ninja [2006-11-25 13:44:44 +0000 UTC]

It turned out different to how I expected as well . I thought I was going to make the foreground lighter but once I got onto it, I ended up doing something different. It's mainly because of thinking about the lighting and whether there is something above, plus I did the columns more like wood as I didn't think they would look so right in stone. The background had to be faded due to the depth but I have the drawing with the details so it's okay.

Thank you very much Dakota!!

Did you draw each leaf and strand of grass one at a time or had a leaf brush? it looks drawn 1 by 1.

Nevertheless, great effort and work of art! The details are to cry over and in a good way! The lady in red, mmm gorgeous x) Interesting pillars along with the twisted rails, and the whole scenery explains the title perfectly.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

lunarsparks In reply to minties [2006-11-25 13:20:50 +0000 UTC]

Yes, they were actually drawn one by one ... the grass and the leaves. I was hoping to make it look a bit more real by doing that. Or even to get a more natural look in the way both appear. It was a combination of oil brushes set on a really small size.

I'm so glad it all fits together with the title. Thank you so much for your words and fav!!!
