Ah, he is so cute!! For some reason, I have this affliction with sleeping things with cat ears, so by drawing this you have made Ivy very happy.

wow, coloring the lineart really adds to it.. how'd you do that? overlay gradient at 50% opacity?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
LunaMiel In reply to botchiball [2006-05-12 00:51:55 +0000 UTC]
Close. I used the overlay gradient at 100 percent on a duplicated layer. Uh, the checkboxes for dither and transparency were checked.
I've seeen alot of people using colored lineart and it really spices things up!

hmm, first attempt proves me stupid : (.
1st question: are your inks a completely seperate layer?
2nd question: how is it that the color overlay doesn't completely block out the black? when i tried this, its just bright colors with no black whatsoever.. even when i try changing the opacity, at best its a tinted black..
i'm stumped : .

Hrmm... heres how to do it on one layer.
1. Make sure its in RGB color, (Image>Mode>RGB color)
2.And select the colors you want, foreground and BG
3.Choose Gradient style in overlay mode
4.Use the gradient tool to make a line.
Sorry, I'm kinda crappy at explaining, but I made this screencap for you, I hope it helps a bit. ^__^;

hehe, you didn't say it was as an overlay : (. er, you did, but i thought you meant you over layed this layer on top of the other.. me=stupid. thanks for the help : ).
