Iara is a Brazilian Mermaid described as having green hair and brown or copper-colored skin, who would sit on a rock by the river combing her hair and singing gently to lure men under her spell, where he would then live out the rest of his life with her underwater. [Which was not necessarily a bad thing, as she would care for him and all of his needs.]Unfortunately human men don't live as long as she does, so despite seducing many men, she spends the majority of her life lonely :' (

I'm a straight female but I realized this year via tumblr that I found a "fetish" (I prefer, "pure aspiration") for chubby & fat mermaid women of color, so this is such a blessing. Thanks, I certainly try to exercise my creativity often, but I can't take all of the credit, since Iara is a Brazilian myth that I was just illustrating! So the description is already there, I just have to follow the instructions and draw her haha
