I really like the contrast that you have created with the pens, it's very successful

This is really nice! Β While I find the portrait on the right to be a bit overwhelming from the dark values, I think it's showing evidence of you really learning to control ink. Β I mean, the area where his eye socket is in darkness and his cheek and lips peek out in the shadow is just wonderful! Β I think if you honed on that, you can make some really great stuff! Β

I feel the same way! Β That's exactly why I hardly ever touch ink, it makes me too anxious. Β The whole thought it making a mistake and just dealing with it is a concept I could never understand. Β That's why I really admire those who work with media like ink and watercolor (not to the extent of ink) where you can't really erase and have to make do. Β You seem to really be getting ink though and I'm sure you'll be making greater things in the future with ink! Β
