This was a promo illustration for my good buddy 's project called "Summer at Grandma's" I did this quite some time ago but just got the OK to post it
The project is still in the early stages but I love the idea behind it. I don't want to give too much away so I'll just be posting this and possibly some more concept art soon!
One thing I can say is that this has no plans to be a game (as far as I know) It was going to be an animated adventure but like I said it's still early in development and can go in any direction really
Anyway I hope you guys like the illustration!!

I love the colors and atmosphere of this piece -- they're very appealing, warm, and comforting. It would make a cute children's book, perhaps. Nice work!

Animated, like a web cartoon or "moving comic"?

I really envision it as a feature length film, as its a testament to my youth growing up with Disney, pixar and ghibli studios. But considering the cost of the endeavor I'm reconsidering and planning for an e-book with some very small animations. Either way the story is one i love and can't wait to share.

Funny you should mention Studio Ghibli: once, I had to physically stop a dear friend of mine from tattooing "I Hate Studio Ghibli" on his chest when he found out that his neighbor really wasn't Totoro.
