Young Severus Snape, age 9-10 (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows)Well, this was just a sketch I wasn't even supposed to colour (please ignore the background).

Cute kid...though he oddly fits my impression of Sirius Black as a boy.
Speaking of Snape and months...Snape is on my Harry Potter calendar for October (my favorite month). How annoying.

Awww, what a cutie! (Whenever I comment something like that about a character who's as cynical and caustic as Snape, I always picture him saying something like "Hey! Who are you calling a cutie?!" Haha. I'm weird, I know. But, hey - it's TRUE. He IS a cutie. As a kid, that is. Especially in this picture.)
I'm not the world's biggest Snape fan (mainly because I'm a huge Neville fan and Snape was an absolute jerk to him for no apparent reason - but, that said, I understand how Snape became that way, and I'm not a Snape-hater) but this picture is adorable. It really makes you feel for what a lonely, unloved kid he was. I've always felt really bad for Snape.

That's true, Snape is a very well-written character; he's very complex. I also enjoy how sarcastic he is. One of my favorite lines is when Dumbledore tells him that he (Snape) has to kill him, and Snape says "Would you like me to do it now? Or would you like few moments to compose an epitaph?" Haha. Plus, Alan Rickman's portrayal of him in the movies? Sheer brilliance. So, I do have some love for Snape, but I wouldn't call myself a Snape fan either.
BTW, I like how you draw Ron. The way you drew him in 'Taking Down Greyback' was almost exactly how I picture him.
