Nice ink drawing.
A dip pen...its a nib that goes in a holder right? if so its called a nib pen or crow quill. If so what nib size was used?
I think thier are something you can do to improve for next time, Line weights and light direction, Watch the thick and thins of lines and then were your lighting is coming from. Also by putting lines all over the place you gave it a unconfortable feeling, its edge and unsure. Also watch useing two differnt inks, they have differances that look differnt from each other even tho thier black, like shapre to india ink, same for FW to Bomb Bay.
I like the uneven lines were in anmie/manga thier smooth, inexample the hair.
Dont take these in a negative way, use this to grow and expan upon your what ya got here.
Now i think the show could have been great but why do the girls love L so much?

I'll take on board what you said and try to become a better artist
i used two different nib pens in this drawing, both empire pens.
the main one: Royal J no.6.
and the one for the "shading" the Langston no.37 f.
i just got them so i could have a go with them
if you could recommend any pens (not too expensive) please do.
the pens i am currently using are not ideal in that the line does not change much despite how much pressure is used so the different lines you are referring to were probably done with the two different pens. :/

On the nib id say check out a cartooning nib, thats the funny looking ones with the circle at the end of the point, i think Speedball might be the cheaper style nibs if a art store near you carries them or check out Jerrysartarama.com (Jerry's artarama) as they are a online store and have videos on how to use some of thier products.
To get varying line weights try a brush is best, it takes some time to get the control but worth the effort.
Also on nibs make sure you clean them well, they can foul up or rust on ya quickly.
