Why not try again, but with a different look? Β Anyways, here's my tips on how to improve on character designs.
1. Find what parts of the character that you don't like.
2. Go look for inspiration.
3. Use the inspiration to mentally make a new design.
4. Draw (and color) it.
5. Post and see what people think about it.

Also, have you seen my gallery? I'm not a brony. The only reason I drew that rainbow dash picture a year ago is because I thought it would get popular. (stupid, I know.)Β I don't want to redo the picture. The idea is done already and uninteresting to me. The old Rainbow Slash deviation is just a silly idea that now collects dust, like the few hundred other old, embarrassingly bad pieces of art that clutter the "old art" folder in my gallery.Β
