I see the very very faint structure grid on the paper. Do you draw that on yourself first? Do you erase it as you go?

I draw the grid using a 3H pencil, very delicately, then I erase it as I go on.. but I must admit it is covered well by the drawing even if I don't erase it perfectly, 'cause it's really subtle.

ok i noticed by this point you already have the hair part im interested in.......you see the hair right above her head not the one on the side...how do you get those highlight lines so thin and all the way back?? im guessin that you dont leave those parts white...you use the kneaded eraser for that effect?? cuz thats the main reason why i dont like drawing blondes...and havent really found on the internet how to do so....thnx for the help bro....keep up the great work

no kneaded eraser at this point... I left those lines white while drawing
but I used some blu-tack (a kinda kneaded eraser... but much more strong and performing) here on the right side --> [link]

Wow your model must be ultra still and patient. Hah, I tried to do a sketch of my little brother and got fed up with his constant wriggling and finished it off the back of my head. No doubt he was pleased
