This took me AGES- from the time it was sketched until now, it's been like, I don't know, maybe a month and a half? >.<; It's not that it's complicated, it's that I just have not had time to spend coloring things. I have this huge backlog of sketches that need coloring, and no time to do it in.

Anyway, this is my first Gothic design since I started using the computer to color my pieces, so all those who watched me originally for my gothic pieces should be pretty happy about that!
This was done as part of an 8-piece commission from *Prince-Yuki , for 8 designs to be made into clothes and used in a photoshoot. The photoshoot will be of a "Gothic Funeral". Yuki said I could go ahead and take my time with these, which is good because I've been so busy. But here is the first one!

It's a plain, long-sleeved dark grey dress with a black ruffle at the bottom hem. Attached to it so that it fits snuggly at the top and on the arms, but hangs loosely beneath the bust, is a sheer black overlayer. The girl also wears a capelet of black wool with silver buttons, which has a high collar and is cut so that it hangs around the bust in almost a square, framing it. It is lined with black lace to match the lace at the hems of the dress. Her accessories are a pair of tall black leather boots and a silver chain girding her waist, with a small jemstone.

Even if *Prince-Yuki decides not to use this one, I think it's one of my own personal favorites. I'm really proud of the illustration and I like the oddly-cut capelet.
