I read a sci-fi story once about an artist who used this mental contraption to paint incredible things. He had been blind from birth and, being blind, everything his mind painted was in greyscale. Sort of visual shadows of his other senses.
But he was slowly dying. and his work was becoming more fragmented, abstract, and surreal as he tried to grapple with his mortality.
The day before his death, he was attached to the machine. In the center of his last painting there was a streak of brilliant red.
I always liked the idea of trying to grapple ideas that you have no way of truly understanding. Somehow, that bit of texture in the center of your cloudscape reminds me of that story.

WF, Hey man that's awesome! Thank you for sharing that. The internal rhythm of this thing is quite dark, both what it symbolizes for me personally and the appearance. I can't find the right words to align with what you are saying, but I intuitively understand.
