This has taken me MONTHS because of natural disasters, work, recurring illness, family illness, and my computer packing it in.
Oh. And the scales.

I have a quick question for you, if you watermark an item (not the one provided with deviantart, when someone buys a print, would they get the watermark?

nooo no watermark on the prints customers buy, just a little 'lucy johnson 2012' and my logo, teeny down the bottom (the usual). I make two files-one small, watermarked for uploading, and a high res with no watermark for prints.

Lol painfully, one section at a time! I used a photoshop brush to make a section of scales, embossed, fiddled with colour etc, and then set them to overlay, then duplicated them and placed another section further along, and so on. Then i shrank a portion, and repeated the process all over again to get the graduated effect. x.X this drove me nuts!

He's scales are shining
I think, you could add more shading to the scales on his arms. They seem to bright to me.
