Description I've got to say this is one of my BEST Gargoyles OC artworks, and also really enjoyed finishing this 5" x 7" drawing with a 1" border. These 2 are Cara, a young human woman who works as a baked goods vendor, while the tall, yet noble gargoyle hero gets named, "Alsandair" by his new human friend. I added a light layer of Parma Purple Prismacolor colored pencil onto the inner wing color of Alsandair's large bat wings. My mom loved it a lot when she came home from 2 weeks in Sweden, and she loved how professional it looked with the white border as well as how much better my expressions, and choice of colors are a vast improvement. You can tell Cara and Alsandair do like each other a lot, yet they're taking the time to let their new friendship flourish before a romance.

Hope you enjoy this a lot, STAN4US ,Β S2Teennovelist -chan, and LightningBlitz-Kid-chan!

Very much appreciated.

I've got some oil paintings to work on Cara (a big 2' x 2' canvas) and a small pair of (10" x 10") canvases forΒ Alsandair and Cara together.Β

Your light and shadow work has improved! Β Everything looks clean and practiced. Β It's clear you've progressed during the time I've been away.

I don't know about Cara taking her time. Β She looks like she is making her move to me!

Whoa would say it is always great to know when your artwork has seriously improved! Shall let you know that I have been working constantly to create shadows and the light to feel more natural, and thank you so much for the kind compliments.Β  Yep always a wonderful feeling when you realize how much your artwork has improved. Looking forward to see how your artwork has improved as well.

It is open to know Cara wants to forge a new friendship with Alsandair first.Β  Maybe she might take her gargoyle friend back home, and who will make the first move towards a burst of a new romance.Β  Glad you've enjoyed the artwork.Β

I like the colors you picked for this. They go together nicely. All kinds of food stuff happening here.

I will let you know that I also love the color palette for this interesting new friendship. This is one of my favorites. I've been hoping to redraw this small 5" x 7" onto a bigger sheet of fancy Bristol art paper.

Yes, Cara loves to cook and bake as does Alsandair.Β  Really enjoyed tapping into my Irish heritage for Inspiration for these two.

I really like this and how the colors compliment each other! I think you did a good job with their poses and where you placed them. I agree with the white boarder, it adds such a nice aspect to the piece and makes it look more professional! Also, you can never go wrong with gargoyles!

I'm so happy that this drawing is getting more fans besides me. Also I've always liked to have contrasts between the colors, Paige-Chan! It was a bit tricky to draw the poses of Cara and Alsandair (I had to draw them very lightly like a feather touching on the paper), and the interaction was my main focus. Very happy with how the white boarder did make it look more professional, and true on it makes a big difference.Β  Yeah, it's all really awesome when you have a great fondness for Gargoyles.

Been getting into the Mayan area of archaeology to get ideas for new jungle-bred gargoyle character designs.

Yeah, it's a true pleasure to see a load of improvement in your artwork, and my story-telling skills are slowly getting a lot better.

I've always enjoyed gargoyles for as long as I can remember, and when Disney's GARGOYLES cartoon show came along in Fall of 1994 = I became a huge fan of it, thus drawing many OC gargoyle clans. ^__^

yeah, I always loved the look and feel of the show. It was Disney, but way better.

Very cool, I really enjoyed the feel, and the wicked awesome look of the show. Always been a big fan of Disney's animation which became true magic for me, yet also way better in the realism. Gargoyles is what made me try my hand at drawing guys, and created 4 sketch books full of gargoyle OCs and clans. 1 of the clans is a pretty large group of ancient reborn ancient Egyptian human, and gargoyle mummies. Loved it a ton.

I drew them a lot too back in the day. I love the main clan and the ones from the world tour but i think they should have added a few more countries even though we needed our heroes to get home. There were so much possibilities with the Avalon clan and the London clan. They didn't actually say there were only three of them, Leo Una, Griff. I think there were more living in the town just in secret like they were. They keep in contact with each other but not so much with outsiders.

Absolutely lovely coloring and shading on this, Viv-Chan! Your Alsandair kinda reminds me of a younger Goliath...very handsome

Certainly will thank you very much for the kind praise on the lovely coloring, and shading (had to wait a bit since we've got a little 3-month-old tuxedo boy kitten = anything is a plaything) jobs, Lisa-Chan! Have to let you know Alsandair (his name means, "defender of man" in Irish so it suits him very well) does look a bit like a younger Goliath in his very handsome gargoyle warrior looks, yet my Alsandair's brow ridges are 3 pointed spikes, while Goliath's brow ridges got 2 pointed spikes.

This felt really wonderful to tap into my Irish roots for Inspiration, and any ideas on a future romantic relationship for Cara and Alsandair? Got a feeling there will be a few eggs, and maybe a small clan in their future...I've got a pretty bad Creative Burn Out with a serious overload of ideas for artwork, and tales. Working on doing it bit-by-bit.

You're very welcome!! I'm always incredibly impressed with your coloring and shading. A little kitten will definitely stall things, lol! I have two older kitties, and they still think everything is a plaything (which means keeping them away from baby's stuff has been VERY difficult lol!). I noticed that with Alsandair's brow ridge and I love that extra spike. It seems like it suits him

Good luck with all your projects!! It's definitely not worth getting burned out, so I think taking it a little at a time is a smart idea

Shall thank you very much again, and it's very much appreciated!! Glad to know you're greatly impressed by the shading and coloring skills of my artwork. Very true on a little boy kitten would stall anything when you're doing artwork, lol! I've got 3 rescue cats, and right now little Misen-kun is a big boy at 5-months-old after our being gone on a trip for 5 days in the last week of April. Pretty cute on how 2 older cats think everything is a plaything (would let you know it's okay to let your 2 old feline pals check out the new baby's belongings = it'll be just fine lol! ) I'm glad to know you've noticed the way Alsandair's brow ridge stands out from all of the other Gargoyle warrior OC. Thank you very much for liking how it suits him.

Thank you so much for wishing me luck on all of my projects!! The pretty bad Creative Burn-Out is a lot better, as I'm doing bit by bit at a time is a really good idea. Did get much closer to drawing the underwater gargoyles based on native Californian and Hawaiian fish are in pretty rough stick figures, and will see how they'll look like on my FIRST-EVER small 16" x 36" mural on linen. It's very excited!^_^
