Hi, IP at FB. Recently, someone reposted this image on Instagram, and I filed a DMCA report against that post. Please take it down.It seems that whenever I make fan lions, their names always seem to be in use by hyenas... I came up with Janja before knowing anything about the hyena Janja in the upcoming series The Lion Guard, and I'm gonna chalk it up as a coincidence. I guess Janja's a bit miffed about sharing her name with a hyena who appears to not respect the Circle of Life?

don't respect the circle of life ? Those hyenas would like to eat , this is the circle of life , i was with the hyenas as a kid too bcus those dumb lions dont let them to eat just like at Makucha , i know that the hyenas have their own teritory but if they dont have anything there to eat then a "great king" would let them to hunt down at least like 2-3 zebras , that wouldnt be the worlds end , hyenas have cubs too , family

I understand that, but in The Lion Guard (the movie), Janja the hyena and his crew were going to hunt and kill for hunting and killing's sake. That isn't showing respect for the Circle of Life.

Killing would certainly stop them, but that's rude. That makes it so that there's no chance of them learning and becoming better hyenas, and also, that would make less hyenas to eat bones.

thats just annoying that noone is able to finaly do something ab it and everyone is like "aahhh nooo hyenas agaain someone help meee"

Yeah, I think that's more to the fault of the writers though. It would have been cool for them to introduce a main villain that wasn't a hyena. However, it makes sense to write the hyenas as the "bad guys", since King Simba would have a deeply ingrained fear of them b/c of what happened to him as a cub. It's not fair by any means, but if King Simba were afraid of them, it'd make sense for him to banish hyenas and for the hyenas to resent him and his kingdom for it.

I actually had Jasiri be for a male name when I was looking up Swahili / Zulu names long ago for characters and they used it for a female in the show.
