Description The cradle of the mortal races and now a property of the Empire of Dragonhelm. In ancient times this tropical island and it's sister served as the birthplace of men, mer and orcs; while also serving as a stepping stone for the grandiose civilizations of continents beyond. The island itself has been through many ruling powers but ultimately ended up in human control when the King of Dragonhelm, Abimelec the First, sent his vast naval force to rid the island of it's orcish control at the time (3566 T.E.).

Remnants of this conquest are still seen today in the form of orcish ruins scattered about the land. The small number of orcs that inhabit the island today do so in seclusion, and it is rumored that they have a village beyond the mountains to the east. Orcs are not part of the common civilization and thus are not wanted in cities and villages on account of their reputation. A reputation that holds true as orcish barbarians are exceedingly dangerous and gladly kill, pillage and plunder without much reason. However, due to the military might of the forces of men and elves, orcs on the island are elusive and carefully carry out their misdeeds. Unlike the Kingdoms of Dachuur and Bhergoz in the Continent, the orcs in the island lack a strong army and utilize more savage tactics to "take back what was once theirs." It is for this reason that the land is constantly patrolled by Knights under the Dragonhelm Banner.

Cyclopia:
Raised into the sky by the Goddess of the Moon in the end of the Second Era, the island serves as both a home and a prison for the Daughters of heaven, Cyclops born from the adultery of Valkyries and men. The island is concealed by a great fog caused by a Spell from the Stormqueen herself, and is meant to hide the island from sight. The sea below the island is prone to all sorts of unnatural phenomenon and sailors know to steer clear of those waters. Leviathans thrive under those conditions however, and tend to breed below the island.
Making the most of their sentence, the cyclops made a kingdom at the base of the mountain to the northeast. Ruled by Andromeda, Cyclopia is a peaceful haven for Giantess-kind, and has been part of an embellished fairy tale told to kids of the mainland. Thus the cyclopes have become a myth to the great majority of people, but to unlucky sailors who's ships are caught by massive fishing hooks, the giantesses are a cruel reality...

Cities and Kings:
Arcadia = Eowyn Dawnstone
Erindor = Frederick Freedom-Shield
Alinor = Umbriel, Keeper of the Aegis
Eldereoth = Alexander, Radiant Lord of the Mountain
Bellanore = Darcassius the Dreamer
Kel'Durin = Kel'Dethriin, Leviathan-Tamer
Cyclopia = Andromeda Serpentsbane

Areas of Interest:
Temple of the Sun = The most prominent temple dedicated to Lord Helios, the patron deity of the worlds most powerful Religious force. It is located in the city of Eldereoth to the East and is home to the Blinded Oracle, a virgin blessed by Helios with the gift of supreme wisdom but deprived of sight.

Elven Academy of Sorcery and Witchcraft = A grandiose center for arcane learning seated in Alinor. Only Elves are able to learn the most powerful of sorceries, and thus it is only open to mer. With some exceptions such as the Sorcerer Absalom of Arcadia and Meredith the Merciful.

Colosseum of Champions = A place where warriors come to test their mettle and apply for being Knights in Arcadia's division of Dragonhelm's Army. The knighting of a dark warrior is strictly forbidden, as the Black Knight is a symbol of an Errant Goddess banished long ago.

The Ring of Aquarius = A large ring belonging to the Goddess of the Sea, encrusted onto the courtyard of the Hydrean Cathedral in Kel'Durin. It is here that the King of the Kel communes with Aqua Marina and where offerings to the Stormqueen are made.

Stillborn Forest = Forest inhabited by a cursed spirit of the same name. The Stillborn commands the fauna and flora with murderous intent.

Mt. Ziikran = The tallest mountain on the island and a roost for ancient dragons from a faraway land. It is said that the faithful of ancient times gathered at it's summit and worshipped the Dragon God, becoming dragons themselves and flying off into lands unseen.

Seer's Peak = Hallowed ground once visited by the Oracles of Old Alinor, where they pleaded for liberation of orcish rule. Prayers that were answered in the form of Dragonhelm's banner.

Prophet's Path = Path taken by Victoria, priestess of Helios who traveled across the sea to birth the Daughters of Mornair and bring an end to Titania's Rule.

Crescent Isle = Enchanted Island only visible during a particular lunar phase said to hold the Dark Knight's Regalia.

Whistling Woods = A forest to the far northwest of the island home a particular species of lizard that emits a strange whistling sound as it breathes.

Sirensong Bay = Dangerous shores where sirens gather and sailors die.

Trollsblood Cave = Gathering place for large cave trolls. Best give this place a wide berth.

Brightwood Cave = A cave overlooking Orion's Mirror said to be abundant in magical energy. Mages from Alinor and Bellanore often travel here in search of Magnus Shards.

The Giantess' Toes = An odd rock formation to the southwest where orc reavers would lead ships astray to pillage and plunder. With their Stronghold destroyed, the rocks are hardly a threat today.

Purewater Spring = Located within a cave in Cyclopia, this enchanted spring draws in seawater from the base of Cyclopia and purifies it through Arcane means. The Hydromancer's village has a hand in prolonging Aqua Marina's Spell.

Forlorn Cave = A cave hidden in Stillborn Forest concealing a profaned Church home to the Order of the Ivory Spider. It is widely known to exist and is considered an affront to the Church of the Sun God, but it is also advised to be avoided. Agents of the Order are sort of an urban legend, said to be infiltrated in cities, posing as ordinary citizens. Their motives are their most jealously guarded secret.

Forgotten Bastion = An ancient underground city lost to a time when Cyclops and men coexisted. It was here that a group of heretics of the Church hid when Cyclopia was raised into the sky, seeking to partake of the apocryphal wisdom of the Ivory Spider. Through rituals and profaned sorceries they were able to see beyond the mortal world but were unable to obtain the Spider's blessing, leading to mass hysteria and the spread of a corrosive madness that became their undoing.
