The pic is quite grainy, but I think it's a good thing...It adds something more, and I really like the angle. Good job!

louisgara In reply to fleacartasi [2006-12-03 16:33:43 +0000 UTC]

It was originally grainy due to ISO1600 (because it was dark, and I didn't had my tripod with me), but then I added some, to make it look like how it looks like! Thanks anyway!

I like the original angle. It adds a nice touch. That and the colors too. This is like a new way of seeing what is seen too much

I tell you that I want to make a film, kind of documentary about the beauty of Budapest, which is probably seen million times in newspapers, postcards, tourist photos, etc. So I want to represent it in a unique never-seen-before-way. Maybe this and Budapest, Budapest... and Western Station are the beggining for the short movie, but I think I will make it as a series of photos.
But hush, I never said anything, but I hope that nothing will be done and maybe shown somewhere.
And thanks for the comment!

This one really caught my eye, I love the lighting and the slanted perspective. The detail of the bridge in the foreground is great and the strangers and the dark colours make it very mysterious!

The men in trench coats really give this a film noir feel to the image.

The angle really caught my eye. This looks like such a romantic place for a walk. Reminds me that I want to go back to NYC. Great shot, nice composition.

Budapest? I would love to, if only I weren't afraid to fly. That's why I love to see these shots, I travel here on DA.

You are totally right! And thanks again!
I think being afraid of flying makes you a bit restrained, doesn't it? You can travel faster, but I can understand your thoughts of flying.

It's sad isn't it. I also so want to go to Italy which is where some of my family came from but I don't think I could make the trip conciously. Here, they give you the option of being knocked out with a note from your physician and they'll put you on a plane so you'll never know what hit you literally. Dangerous times though, my friend, makes walking out your front door a risk nowadays.

I always wanted to look like Robert De Niro, but unfortunately it's him from the film Jackie Brown, where his name was Louis Gara. And it's definitely not bold, if it was I wouldn't give my whole origin story!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

funygirl38 In reply to louisgara [2006-12-01 19:45:22 +0000 UTC]

Ah then my assumption about the pic was correct, Robert DeNiro is one of my favorite actors too. He can be uproariously funny or dead serious, a lunatic, a monster, an overprotective dad. What a versatile actor.

Yeah one of my favourites, you are absolutely right: Mean Streets/Jackie Brown/Analyze this/Godfather. A living legend!

Thank you for the advanced comment
I shoot two photos from this spot, but I prefered this angle as well. With the colours I tried to recreate the style I used on one of my photo. Hence I didn't remember for the parameters, it came out an other way.
Thanks again!

What I really like in this one is the perspective (angle) you've used.
Though, I do feel that the colors need to be adjusted a little. The blue hues dont go that well with the yellow ones.
Anyway, it's still a very nice photo... the angle has done the job
