Firstly before anybody starts commenting it; the contrast is supposed to be almost none-existing. Sharp light on a hard angle = not that much contrast.Now that’s said, this is supposed to look like Miyavi (Japanese rock star
), but I made him look like… a gipsy or something like that. Stupid drawing <.<I did this because I love this photo of him and because I wanted to practice drawing hard angles and sharp light. And this had both, so that was just perfect.
But it made me realise, that I need soo much more practice on that field
My scanner made it all dotty ><
Still… please be good to him?

OOh the hair looked great!" I know what you mean! I have the same problem when I use a colored picture as reference. When I have that broblem, it really helps if I make the reference picture black and white in Photoshop. Then It is a lot more easier to see where it is dark and where it is lightXD I suck at explaining things! XD

Noo, I get what you mean^^ I use to do that too. I just found that doing that will also make some shades flow together, you know? With colours it's easier to decide how dark and light they are supposed to be. At least in my oppinion^^
