I know this is super late, like, why am I posting this 6 years later, but good luck finding the tag arc. Β Apparently, Viz media's so uninterested in the manga since it wasn't as profitable as their other licensed titles that they're not going to license the tag arc (Instead, they left us on the Demon Seed arc, which was fine but didn't end with the most epic battle they could have given us) which pisses me off because every time I find out something about it, I wanna see it more and more.

The story behind this show's cancellation is really a sad one, and while 4kids is no longer an enemy of mine, this I can not forgive them for as they played a huge part in the show's cancellation:
It all started with the fact that America got the MUSCLE figures and one of the video games despite the show and manga never being licensed. 4kids heard that a sequel was being made and that since Broken Jr. was no longer a Nazi, it was allowed to air in North America. 4kids wanted the rights to the show as soon as possible and the problem starts with the fact that they actually read bits of the manga first. When requesting the rights to dubbing the anime, they signed a contract with Yudetemago, the writer of the manga, having him force Toei Animations to edit the visuals so 4kids wouldn't have to, hence why the original Japanese version doesn't has little to no blood and removed a number of short matches from the anime, including Bone Cold's true first appearance. (Did you know he actually fights Gyro, Checkmate and Terry before fighting Kid Muscle?) The Japanese audiences were pissed off by these edits and refused to watch the show as a result, therefore, the show was supposed to be cancelled by the end of the X-Tournament arc. Luckily, the show proved to be far more successful in America and as such, Toei Animations agreed to animate more episodes and the anime made it as far as the Choujin Olympics, which is as far as it got. Japanese audiences still hated the edits, so Toei gave up after this arc, even changing the ending of Kid Muscle vs. Kevin Mask to justify the end of the series, which is quite sad because from what I've seen from the manga, the Demon Seed arc is really good and I feel it would have looked splendid had it been animated.
