Description A reproduction of an 18th century work, all done in oils while I was trying to learn to do skin tones and the like for painting portraits.

I am crazy about eliminating brush strokes. I use very thin paint and build up layers, and in-between I have a big soft brush I use to smush out any remnant impressions in the paint. I love oils, but one reason why I tried out airbrushing was to GET RID OF THE BRUSHSTROKES FOREVAR.

Btw, I've moved all my stuff over to [link] !

Wow!

I am eternally jealous and respectful of people who can make something good out of oil paint (or any kind of paint).

I'm not familiar with the original, but I'll assume it's a faithful reproduction.

Good job!

I love those old paintings. Well done. I don't see any mistakes or something.
