Yvonne Craig, the original Batgirl from the 1960's tv show passed away on August 17th after a long bout with Cancer. She was the most beautiful girl to don the outfit and will be missed very much by me and many, many others.I always sculpted my version of Batgirl from her likeness and wanted to do a tribute pic to the girl who stole the show. Goodbye, Yvonne.

I hadn't heard this sad news. Β I had the fortune to meet her once several years ago at a comic book convention. Β She was a lovely person, and, yes, the most beautiful woman to ever play Batgirl because she was so naturally fresh and vibrant and sexy without trying. Β I was always disappointed when her cycle didn't ride past on the opening credits of the returns of the series because it meant I wouldn't get to see her on that episode. Β This is a lovely remembrance, thank you for using your skills for such a worthy purpose.
